Kakashi would be lying if he said he hadn't run away. Okay, the principal mouse thingy was scary. Don't judge him, he totally wasn't running away in fear. Not to mention that it would be counterproductive to get caught by a bunch of wannabe strong people. Why was everyone so slow? Anyway, here he was, sitting on a roof and sipping from his juice pouch and swinging his legs. Childish? Maybe, but he had never been able to be a kid before, might as well start during this time of peace. He heard footsteps directly behind him and tilted his head back to look at Eraserhead who was looking down at him faintly amused. "Hey Shota!" He winced. When had he become so peppy? "Hey Silver." Shota sat down next to him and he silently offered him a juice pouch that he had not stolen from the convenience store on the corner. "What brings you here?"
"I wanted to thank you for saving my life. Recovery Girl said I would have had permanent damage if you hadn't healed me. She seems very interested in you. Well, all of my co-workers and especially Nezu are interested in you." Kakashi winced. "Nezu is the furry, small, scary one isn't he?" Aizawa barked out a laugh and Kakashi startled, it was a beautiful laugh. "Yep, that's him. He's just slightly eccentric." Kakashi wished his face hadn't gone back to his usual blank expression. "He wants to meet you by the way." And with that, Kakashi spit out his juice.

"So why did you want to meet me again?" Was meeting Nezu a bad idea? Probably. But he had nothing to lose. The creature in front of him clapped his hands. " I have a request and I was hoping you would comply." He couldn't help but feel nervous at that statement. "I want you to become a teaching assistant to class 1A." Say what now?! Kakashi chuckled out a laugh that sounded disbelieving even to his own ears. "You do realize what you are saying right? You would be bringing a potential enemy to help teach and protect the generation of the next best heroes. What if I betray you? You have no reason to trust me and there is the fact that I am a fifteen year old."
"I actually have every reason to trust you. You protected the students at the USJ and healed one of my teachers and you are friends with that teacher. Even though he won't tell me anything about you, I know he is fond of you. You also act nothing like a fifteen year old teenager and there is simply no way that you have mastered a quirk like the one you have in eleven years. Not to mention, I have a feeling you are a very loyal person and have a soft spot for kids. Previous students maybe?" This is exactly why Kakashi was slightly scared of the principal. He is probably one of the most dangerous threats in this era. He somehow figured out he had students from what exactly? Seriously, how did he figure that out? He was glad he was an S ranked ninja, if he was a lesser man, he would already be caught in the principles trap. "So, you already have an inkling of who I am." The white creature chuckled.
"Not who, what."
Kakashi stood up from the armchair. He looked down at the mouse creature. Why he had decided to have such a big desk when he himself was small was weird, intimidation tactics maybe. "What do I have to gain from helping the potential heroes then?"
"Nothing really. Protection from the hero industry but I doubt you need it. There is the fact that you can teach about the remnants of your culture. It won't have to die with you." There was something intriguing about this entire situation but that last offer was tempting. His students should never be forgotten. No one who fought in the Fourth Shinobi war should be forgotten. Shinobi had already died out but there was a chance they would never be forgotten. Maybe it was for the best. They had made him promise to live and he wondered again if his students had known he would live again. Knowing them, they probably had a hand in it. He sighed. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.
"I'll do it."
