Jodie ___________________

The next day after school I knocked on the front door of the Montgomery house, and it swung open and Teddy leaned against the doorway.

"Hey...." He said in surprise

I rolled my eyes pushing past him "Not here for you."

I walked into the kitchen seeing Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery.

Mrs.Montgomery's name was Lucy she also has light blonde hair mostly like Teddy and green emerald eyes. She was about 5'5 with a slightly small nose and full plump lips. She was skinny and worked as a Realtor, one of the best in our small community.

Mr.Montgomery's real name was Scott, he was a big company man working for Chase Enterprises, he was one of the many employees that basically without him the company would fall apart. He was 6'1 and had Teddys eyes along with light brown hair and was actually very muscular for his age.

Both were dressed for I'm guess a dinner party. Scott wore a black suit with a blue tie. Lucy wore a beautiful purple dress with white pearls as a necklace and earrings, her hair pulled into a bun. They were both about 40 and I had spent most of my time with them when they were home. I took care of Ian, mostly because Teddy didn't really pay attention when he watched them.

This all started two years ago when Teddy was 'watching' Ian and the young boy had walked up to my front porch with a box of macaroni and cheese. Teddy apparently didn't make him dinner and it wasn't until I called Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery that he realized his brother was missing.

Since then they didn't trust Teddy with Ian so I usually watched him, a few times tutoring Teddy as he was failing a class.

"Hey Mr. and Mrs. M" I smiled sitting down on the brown wooden bar stool by the breakfast bar.

They had all stainless steel appliances and dark grey granite counters, they also had wooden floors and I heard tapping as their dog Belle ran over to me. She was a long haired golden retriever and smelled my legs before barking at me to pet her.

Lucy smiled "Hello Jodie, Me and Scott were headed to a business dinner. There are Snacks in the fridge and money for Pizza or Chinese by the phone."

She nodded to the home phone and I nodded "Thanks, I'll have Ian down by nine hopefully and maybe watch tv or study."

They both nodded "Teddy you hear that, she might study. Something you should try"

Teddy rolled his eyes "I'm going to my room."

Both of his parents sighed, they smiled before heading out the front door "Bye Ian, Bye Teddy. Thank you again Jodie!"

I nodded and headed to Ian's room. I opened the door to see him sitting on his floor battling Superman and Wolverine. He was wearing Star Wars pajamas and his hair looked like he had just showered.

He picked up a few other DC comic book characters and letting them also fight against Wolverine. "You cannot defeat me! I am Wolverine!"

I laughed and picked up one of his Hulk action figures and sat beside him. "HULK SMASH!" I tossed the DC figures away making him laugh.

"No they don't get along Jodie." He sighed "You don't know anything"

I rolled my eyes "You wanna go watch the Amazing Spiderman? I got a copy from Redbox."

His eyes widened "With Cheese pizza?"

I nodded "With cheese pizza."

He raced downstairs and was chased by a barking Belle.

I headed downstairs and down the hall before knocking on Teddy's door. I opened it up to find him shirtless with his computer on his chest.

His room was painted navy blue and had band posters and a few clothes scattered on the floor. His room smelled like old spice and his black bed was in a wreck as he laid on it.

He looked up "Yeah?"

I leaned on the doorframe as he did earlier "Pepperoni or Supreme Pizza."

He chuckled exiting out of his browser and getting up walking over to me. "Pepperoni, you gonna talk to me again? Other then asking me what pizza I like to which you already know the answer."

I exhaled deeply "I'm still thinking about it."

He walked past me and nodded "What movie tonight?"

I paused "How did you?"

Without turning around he headed down the hallway "You always bring a movie when you babysit."

I followed after him "The Amazing Spiderman"

He stopped and smirked "I knew you couldn't go too long without talking to me."

I growled "Shut up and let me order food." I said pushing past him running down the hall and calling the pizza order in.

As the credits rolled I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to Teddy as he laughed pointing to Ian. On my shoulder leaned a sleeping Ian his breath was warm on my arm, Teddy picked up with a sigh looking at his sleeping little brother.

He carried him upstairs and laid him on his bed. Belle came in and laid beside him, he curled around her like a pillow.

I looked at the clock to see it was actually Nine forty-five.

I turned off the light and closed his door. I turned made my way downstairs and picked up my favorite book 'The Outsiders by S.E Hinton'.

"What are you reading?" I jumped as I turned to see Teddy standing behind me

I chose to ignore him and went back to reading. The book was taken from my grasp as Teddy moved to the the couch. I went to grab it but he stopped me "Why are you still ignoring me?"

I growled "You beat up one of my friends!"

Teddy sat up tossing my book to the floor "He was talking about my friends"

I shook my head and picked up my book, getting my backpack off of the floor I opened the front door "Whatever, you know, just because you don't like my friends doesn't mean you just beat them up!"

I closed the door and headed to my house not bothering to even look back.Opening the door I saw my Dad about to walk out.

He was tall at 6'0 and had my eyes and freckles, he worked as a contractor but often went out of town for special clients.

He smiled "Done babysitting already Champ? I was just headed to get some Ice cream."

I shook my head "I have homework."

He nodded sensing something went wrong as I went inside and to my room, I ignored my mom asking if I was alright through the door and paved the room. I stopped at the window, I looked down and from my window saw Teddy staring at me, I flipped him off and  closed my curtains.

I laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I closed my eyes before hearing my phone vibrate next to me.

I unlocked it my background of My chemical romance flashing beneath my apps. I opened my messages to see a text from Teddy.

"J, please I said I'm sorry, you were right it was stupid. If you don't talk to me carpooling is going to be annoying." He texted

I rolled my eyes "Then I'll walk"

My phone went off again " Whatever, by the way it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Good Luck."

I groaned as I checked the weather...........Damn you Karma.
"Tomorrow only"

I could read the pride in his voice that he had won "I'm not playing any of your screaming music either"

I could help but smile as I peeked out of the window to see the black curtains, as if they were mocking me to show that once again Teddy won.

"You jerk..." I whispered to myself
