Chapter 6

Thursday March 15th, 2029

Hope busts into the twin's room at 7 in the morning effectively startling them awake.

"Happy birthday to my amazing girlfriend, and her equally amazing sister."

"Thank you!" Josie says getting out of bed and hugging Hope.

"Yeah thank you. You seem to be in a good mood today?" Lizzie adds.

"I am! I'm taking you both to breakfast and I got approval for all three of us to skip school today, but first. You can come in now." Hope says smiling.

"Happy birthday girls!"

"MOM?!?!" The twins rush over to Caroline engulfing her in a hug.

"Hi my girls."

"How are you here we thought you weren't gonna be able to come?" Lizzie asks.

"Well someone..." Caroline looks back at Hope. "Wouldn't allow that."

"I set it up so auntie Bex and Marcel took over for her so she could stay for the rest of the month." Hope smiles.

"Wait does that mean you'll be here for the baby shower?" Josie asks hopeful.

"Yes it does." Caroline smiles as she is engulfed in another hug.

"Okay you two need to get dressed. We are leaving for breakfast in an hour." Hope tells the twin before her and Caroline leave the room together.

"So what all do you have planed today?" Caroline asks when her and Hope are far enough away so the twins can't ease drop.

"Well I have breakfast planed for the four of us, then I scheduled a mani, pedi for you and the twins. While you all are at your appointment I'm gonna be setting up for mine and Josie's date where I'm going to give her, her present."

"OH what is it?"

"Your gonna have to wait Josie will wanna be the first to show you."

"Ugh fine."

"So after mine and Josie's date will be cake with you, and Dr. S, then a party at the old mill with all their friends."

"You really did plan everything didn't you?"

"Well its gonna be Josie's last birthday with out the baby so I just wanted to make it special."

"Its sweet Hope."

"I tried, Mrs. Forbes-Salvatore."

"Please call me Caroline."

"Okay Caroline. Um and I don't mean to over step, but when are you gonna tell the twins?"

"Alaric and I have talked it over. We plan on telling them after the baby is born, we don't wanna cause Josie any extra stress while she is pregnant."

"I understand that. My wolf has been driving me crazy, everyday she gets more protective her Josie and the baby."

"Alaric was super protective when I was pregnant with the twins too, I can only imagine that protectiveness being amplified by being a wolf."

"Yeah its rough, the other day some vamp bumped into Josie and I wanted to tear their head off for even touching her."

"Wow!"

"Yeah if Josie hadn't calmed me down, telling me that her and the baby were fine I probably would have."

"Have you thought of seeing Ms. Tig?"

"Yeah I've already seen her a few times. I go once a week and its been good Josie is supposed to come with me for my next appointment."
