I arrived at the antique shop before Steve and the agent Carter had, going to help Stark and Erskine set up the equipment before we began. I was really worried about Steve, if this was going to work, if this would hurt him; everything that could go wrong was going through my mind. I had look over most of the work done by the two scientist although a lot of it went over my head. The two looked confident in their work though, so I trusted them to do this, even I hadn't it was to late to turn back.

Agent Carter soon escorted a very nervous looking Steve into the room, he was dressed in his light brown working uniform, which of course was at perfect regulations as Steve would never have it any other way.

"Good morning" Dr. Erskine said as he shook Steve's hand and a photographersnapped a picture of the two of them. "Please not now" He said as he shooed the photographer away. "Are you ready?"

Steve nodded as he looked to the contraption cautiously.

"It ain't half as bad as it seems" I said as I snuck up on Steve. I put a arm around him to guide him away from looking at it. "Stark says it don't even last a minute. Plus I'm here and I'm a genius, so I say it works, it gonna work"

"Guess so" My cheesy humor didn't seem to help this time, Steve still nervous with every eyeing the room on him.

"Are you ready?" Dr. Erskine asked.

"Yes." Steve nodded

"Good. Take off your shirt, your tie, and your hat." Steve did as instructed before laying on the table.

"Comfortable?" Dr. Erskine asked as he stood next to Steve.

"It's a little big." Steve joked, earning a laugh from the doctor.

"Hopefully, not for long." I smirked.

"You save me any whiskey in the flask?" Steve asked me.

"Probably not as much as I should have. " I smiled.

"Next time." The doctor and Stark started going over they're check list before we began, talking bout how were gonna throw most of Brooklyn into a black out.

Soon we were beginning the ezpierement. Dr. Erskine directed Agent Carter, who also seemed quiet worried for Steve's health, to the booth where the other observers stood. I took my spot behind one of the switch boards as everyone got to their positions. Dr. Erskine went over to the middle of the room, grabbing a mic and flicking it to get everyones attention.

"Do you hear me? Is this on?" He said into the mic. "Ladies and Gentlemen, today we take not another step towards annihilation, but the first step on the path to peace. We begin with a seires of microinjections into the subject's major muscle groups..."

I watched Steve as heard everything that was about to happen. He seemed to be very well composed considering, doing a pretty good job of hiding his fear. "I'm Just a kid from Brooklyn." Is what he would say if it were just me and him, thinking he wasn't even deserving of this, like he wasn't the person for this.

"That wasn't so bad" Steve said as the pads above his head finally came down on his chest, puncturing his chest.

"That was penicillin" Dr. Erskine said as he came over Steve. "Serum infusion beginning in 5, 4 , 3, 2, 1," The vials started to empty into Steve. It was hard sitting there, listening to Steve groaning in pain. The doctor turned to Stark, telling him it was time as a metal case surrounded Steve, pulling into a standing position.

The Doctor walked up to the metal case, knocking on it to check on Steve, only to receive a stupid joke about the bathroom. We proceeded with the experiment, lights and noises surrounding us as it got harder to look at the pod. Suddenly Steve starting yelling louder than we expected. The doctor ran to Steve, trying to get him to answer as Peggy as come out of the booth and was yelling for us to shut it off. I stood up, whispering under my breath for Steve to just be okay, ready at any second to shut the whole thing off.

"Kill the reactor!" Dr. Erskine yelled. I jumped over the control board, jumping to the switches to shut it down.

"No!" Steve yelled from the casket. "Don't! I can do this!" Stark went back to turning up the power up, which caused everything to sparked and power to eventually go out in Steve's pod. We all stood in silence for a moment before Dr. Erskine gave Starkthe signal.

The pod opened, exposing a much taller, much more muscular Steve. Everyone started crowding around, making me force my way to the front to find Steve was now much taller than me.

"Alright this isn't fair" I teased him. Everyone was gawking and wanting to look him over. Peggy had made her way up front, looking like she was refraining from touch his now 6 pack.

"How do you feel?" Carter asked.

"Taller" Steve answered.

"You look taller." I smiled as I watched Steve adjust. The moment was cut short by an explosion up on the observation booth. Everyone Ducked as shots were fired, causing Doctor Erskine to fall to the floor. Agent Carter was quick to draw her gun and start shooting at the man running away. I jumped over to crowd, joining Steve at the dying doctor's side. He looked like he was struggling to get words out as he pointed at Steve's chest. I pushed pass Steve, running up the stairs as I ripped off the lab coat.

I could hear Steve coming up behind me, seeming to pass me easy. I followed behind him out of the SSR, running pass agents struggling to get up and a couple that had been shot dead.

Once outside Steve took off after the car the man had jumped on. I got on to my motorcycle and took off after the two of them, hearing agent Carter fire off shots behind us. I saw the car take a left up ahead and cut into a near by alley, running along side them through the alleys, just praying that a car wouldn't hit me.

Before I knew it Steve had them cornered at the warf. I jumped off the bike as I spotted Steve behind a car door being shot at by the man who shot the doctor, who was now grabbing onto a kid to use as a human shield. He backed down the way, holding the kid the whole time as me and Steve slowly following him. He shot at us a few more times, missing us before he was out of bullets. I sprinted forward as he threw the kid into the water.

"I got the kid, you get the guy!" I yelled as I dove into the water after the kid. I pulled the kid to the nearest latter and helped him up before taking notice to Steve climbing up, the man next to him drenched in water. The man sat up with a knife in hand, swinging at Steve. Steve dodged it and wentin with kick to his head, knocking him to the ground as Steve kicked the knife away.

""Who the hell are you?" Steve said as he grabbed him by the collar.

"The first of many." He said. "Cut off one head" He paused and chopped on something in his mouth, that I knew much be a cyanid. "Two more shall take it's place." His mouth started foaming and within seconds he was dead. "Hail Hydra."
