It was my 15th birthday. I woke up, got dressed and walked down stairs to an empty house. "Happy birthday to me" I whispered to myself. I walked into the kitchen make some breakfast and sat down. I ate toast that had jam on it. My mom left some money in an envelope (£50 for me and £250 for the house bills).

As I walked to the stairs, a letter was waiting for me. 'Y/n L/n' I picked it up and turned it over. I saw a small logo. I opened it and it read:

Y/n,
We would like to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts the school of witchcraft and wizardry. You will need the following: Wand, Text books for all subjects , a pet and school clothing.

I left the letter on the side and didn't thing about it.

After two hours, a knock appeared on the door. I walk down, opened the door to be greeted by a tall man who was kinda scary but he spoke' Happy birthday y/n. I'm Hagrid' as he handed me a birthday cake. 'Hi' was all they came out of my mouth. 'I'm not going to hurt you' he said 'come in'  he came in and sat down on the couch. 'Who do you live with?' He asked 'Oh my mom is living with someone else and my dad died. I've got this house but my mom still pays for the bills here.' I responded. 'Well at Hogwarts you will have loads of friends and people to share a room with' I smiled and he did to. 'So are you coming to Hogwarts because it's in two days so I'm going to need to know now' he said. 'Erm I'm not sure......yano what Yes I'll go' Hagrid got up and walked to the door. 'Quickly go and get you clothes. You will be staying with a family' I quickly go up stairs and get all of my clothes in a trunk and ran down to Hagrid. We walked out. He grabbed on to me and took me to a massive house
