" Saifu Abbu ki Jaan, kitna sotey hain aap?" Bakhtaawar cooed to the one month old baby, his own lips in a pout finding his son asleep yet again.
" Ab ussey kaunse siyasaati dauron par jaana hain joh har waqt tainaat rahega?" Gulaisha came with a plate of breakfast for her husband, carefully picking up her son from beside him on the bed and cradling him in her arms.
" Par uske Abbu ke paas bas kuch hi minute hotey hain usse milne ke liye aur woh bhi janaab soney mein bita dete hain" Bakhtaawar tore into the paratha, forming a niwaala with the omelette as he cribbed to his wife.
" Tumne ketchup nahi diya mujhe" he whined much to his wife's amusement who rolled her eyes but got up again to get his beloved ketchup.
" Kabhi kabhi mujhe samajh nahi aata hain ki Saifu bachha hain ya aap!" Gulaisha wiped the ketchup from the side of his lips as he gulped down hastily.
" Tum dono ghar kab aarahe ho?" Bakhtaawar gulped his breakfast with tea, as he looked at his wife folding his son's tiny clothes.
" Ammi keh rahi thi ki Saifu sawah mahiney ka ho jaaye phir chali jaana" Gulaisha picked up the dirty nappies and put them in the laundry basket to wash them separately.
" Pandhra din aur?" Bakhtaawar already missed them too much and here she was asking him to stay away from them for another fortnight!
" Hmmm" she was rearranging the baby products on the bedside table in order of preference and requirement. It helped to be organized when her baby was being chaotic.
" Tumhe zara sa bhi tars nahi aata apney bechaarey shohar par?" Bakhtaawar came and hugged her from behind making her shriek.
" Aapney haath nahi dhoye hain. Maine abhi nahaya hain Zayd aur Saifu kaafi hain mere kapdon par daag lagane ke liye" she pulled away from his hold much to his annoyance.
" Jaa raha hoon. Ek toh subah itney jaldi utho apne betey aur biwi se milne ke liye aur yaha dono ko hi meri aehmiyat nahi hain" Bakhtaawar went to wash his hands outside, cribbing along the way.
" Achaa na, maafi" Gulaisha walked behind her husband after laying her son down in the crib and keeping the door ajar.
" Maafi kyun?" He gave her attitude as she stood behind him at the washbasin with a towel in hand.
" Zayd, gussa chodein na" she handed over the towel to him but he caught hold of her dupatta instead and wiped his hands on it.
" Maine aaj hi naya jora pehna tha. Aap dono baap beton ne mere kapdon ko towel, blanket, nappy sab kuch samajh rakha hain" Gulaisha whined seeing the water stains on her blue cotton dupatta.
Bakhtaawar just shrugged in response but then shook his head when his wife took the end of her dupatta and wiped his face with it.
" Tumne hi aadatein bigaadi hain hum baap beton ki" he caught her hand in his and kissed the inside of her wrist, making her blush red in shyness.
" Aapko Mill jaanein dair ho rahi hain" she pushed him away and rushed out of there, colliding with her Bhabhi.
" Dekhkar chala karo. Yeh koi mahal nahi hain jaha tum bageechon mein daud rahi ho" Lubna told her off irritatedly.
" Khamaka ki bheed lagayi hui hain itne mahino se. Khud kam thi joh ab apney bachhey aur shohar ke saath yahi bas gayi hain. Pata nahi kab nijaat milegi iss musibat se" Lubna muttered loud enough to be heard by the people who she said it for, before walking away from there.
" Gulaisha!" Bakhtaawar called her loudly, startling her shocked self.
His heart pained seeing the hurt expression on his wife's face but not anymore. His wife and son won't stay a second longer in the presence of the vile woman who keeps on hurting them with her words.
