I just stood there looking away. "Uhh... sorry your highness, I think you got the wrong person." I said.
"MAD MAX!!!! Show some respect, you don't what kinda business would we run if we disrespect the Queen of hell like that?!?!?" My boss said. DAMMIT YOU STUPID FUCK HEAD! I didn't want her to know it was me!!!
"Dammit! Okay yes it's me Mad Max from Hell school!"
"Max! It's so good to see you again!!" Charlie said as she grabs my hand.
"... So... what uhh... what're you doing here... your highness?"
"Please, drop the formalities, we're old friends aren't we? I just came here to get a coffee for me and... her" Charlie said pointing to her daughter.
"Who is this mommy?" She asked.
"Well Charlotte, this is mommy's old friend, from hell school, Mad Max, say hi."
"Hello!" Charlotte said.
"H-hi." I said, stuttering.
"Excuse me, can I take him for a bit, I'd like to catch up." Charlie asked.
"Why of course, anything you want your majesty!"
"This is gonna be a pain in the ass." I thought.
10 minutes later
I was sitting at a table with Charlie and Charlotte. I felt really uncomfortable.
"So... how've you been?" Charlie asked.
"Uhh... I've been... getting by. I live in a nice apartment. "
[Cons: Use tape to cover Broken windows, wallpaper peeling off, thin walls, easily to hear domestic disputes, domestic violence or people having sex, laundry room, which also happens to be a bathroom.]
[pros: it ain't hardly had no murders]

Flashback
I was mopping the floor, when all of a sudden...
"Hey Max!" I looked over, and saw one of my coworkers drop a drink on purpose.
"You missed a spot!" He said as he started laughing.
"*sigh* that's for pointing it out... Matt."
Flashback ends
"And uhh..." I was trying to think of something else when Charlie asked...
"Are you seeing anybody?"
"Uhh what?"
"Is there someone special in your life?"
The question suddenly hit me like a bag of bricks.
"Uhh... no... I never bothered to look."
"Huh? Why not?" Charlie asked.
"You... you don't remember why?"
Charlie stood there for awhile thinking. Then she suddenly remembered.
"You mean... that thing you promised me 80 years ago? You can't be serious."
"... So you do remember." I said standing up. "I should get back to work."
"Max wait." Charlie said
"Mommy?" Charlie then looked at Charlotte.
"I'm so sorry for that my queen, is there anything I can get you?" My boss asked.
"Uhh... no... that'll be all. C'mon Charlotte it's time to go." Charlie said as she grabbed Charlotte's hand.
"Okay mommy!" Charlotte said.
"I'm sorry Charlie." I thought.
