Hello, I'm Lily, and this is my husband Aarav. Our story is quite unique – our marriage was arranged, but here's the twist: one of us had experienced a love marriage.
Let's start from before we met. Before meeting Aarav, my life was dull, irritating, and filled with depression, but not me, I've always been cheerful, excited, and cute, at least that's how I felt.Prior to meeting Aarav, I received several proposals, not only for marriage but also for love. However, my parents didn't allow me to love someone. Love may have been forbidden, but marriage? Oh, that was handed to me on a silver platter.
I don't have an allergy to love, but I ended up falling for the very person I never thought I would. You know, these good guys are hard to find, darn it, and I thought I'd never come across one. So, I abandoned the quest to find a guy and gave up on the hope of love altogether. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack – and that needle is probably too busy fighting the world somewhere. And I only focused on reading rom-coms, watching romantic movies and series, and listening to love songs because, let's be real, the guy who would either bring down the stars for me or fight the entire world for my sake wasn't about to stroll into my life. If anyone did show up, they were probably just here to pick a fight with me over something trivial.
Now that you know a bit about me, let's move forward.
I am Lily Agrawal, born on December 5, 1995, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. My name was inspired by Lily Collins, my dad's favorite heroine. My father had a dream that Lily will take his surname and indeed my father fulfilled his dream by giving his surname to Lily not in a way he imagined, but life is all unpredictable right , so what not his wife but at least as his daughter. Later after many years when my mom discovered the reason of my name .....that's an another story to discuss but let's proceed for now...
My birth happened on December 5, 1995, making me the firstborn of the eldest son in the family. When my grandmother visited the hospital to see me, the trolling began right there.
On the subject of appearances, I wasn't anything special, just looking like any other baby. I weighed a mere 1.5 kg at birth, and even then, my grandmother managed to criticize me. If I had understood at that time that my entire life would be filled with such trolling, I swear I would have become a philosopher right from my childhood. Regardless of a bright or not-so-bright future, one advantage emerged from this – I've met many people in the world, and their opinions have had zero impact on me. Thanks to the extensive trolling within the family, outsiders rarely stood a chance.
Now that I've landed on Earth and in my home, let me introduce you to my family, starting with the big shots. My granddad and grandma are quite the characters. GrandDad, the man of few words, and grandma, well, she talks so much that even the radio would blush. But, you know what, they're both incredibly sweet.
Then there are my granddad's three kids – my father, who's a cardiologist by profession, but let me tell you, in reality, he's a real grump. Not even God could change that. Next up is my uncle, his younger brother, a software engineer by profession and my confidant in every little secret. And last but not least, my aunt, who managed to swindle them more than her in-laws did in her marriage. I swear, she looted them more than a gang of bandits. Now, I think her in-laws didn't took dowry from us but it was fine of providing our aunt to them....haha..
After this cartoonish introduction to my family, my mother entered the scene. She was the world's best cook but had a habit of overthinking and getting emotional over everything. Her famous dialogue was, "I'm a mother, you know," and after saying that, there was nothing more to be said.
Now, onto my siblings. My brother Akash, though younger, always asserted his authority. We shared a Tom and Jerry relationship, filled with love. In addition, I had two brothers and a sister among my cousins.
That was my happy, middle-class family. Childhood was spent trying to surpass my father's friend's children, and then came the phase of love. At first, it seemed exciting, like a girlfriend-boyfriend scenario. But the proposals I received made me realize that being single was not such a bad idea.
My college and school life went in staying single and then once I turned 26 my whole life changed as a creature entered my life...haha
Want to know what happened , I'll share in the next chapter.
Till then keep spreading love and remember to smile, as smile are good for health and contagious to rubbish people.
Let me know how's the story plot!!
