“I hold the world but as the world, Gratiano, A stage where every man must play a part, And mine a sad one.”

Chapter 3

Today is Saturday and I am awfully excited for Monday’s lessons. I have 6 classes every day and I am so ready for them. I was lost on my way to the reception but I finally got there after asking a few people. Okay, so maybe it was not a few people, maybe it was several people but it is all the same.

I really do not have anything to do today I was thinking maybe I could stay in and read one of my all-time favourite novels. Yep, that sounds like a plan.

As I am walking back to my room I see some posters about a literature club. I am going to have to do that and join up whenever I have the chance.

I fish out my room key from my jean pocket and unlock the door. I see person x talking on the phone. He finally talks. The thought of him being mute actually crossed my mind but I thought it was stupid to associate a punk to a mute. I wonder what he is talking about and I catch him say a couple of sentences with that deep voiced British accent of his. “Meet me at my room at 5.00” he said casually.

“Yeah. I love you too man “He rolls his eyes after saying this.

“K bye”

Wow. I never knew he would do that. I mean I assumed he would be the type to do that but never did I think he would have an audience even if that meant one person.

I walk fully in the room and try my best to hide my disgusted look. He looks at me right back with a smirk

I say “you are not doing that in my room at 5.00”

“It is my room and I can do what I like thank you” He said sarcastically whilst rolling his eyes.

“I do not want to witness that so please go find another roommate that would be more willing to compromise “I reply back harshly, my voice full of tone

“Am I not allowed to invite a friend over?” He replies with a smug grin

I am so stupid! I am always jumping to conclusions. Obviously that was a friend and not a random girl. I cannot hide the embarrassment and I am probably assuming I am bright red. It is not my fault he made it seem as if he was talking to a girl. I mean who says ‘I love you to a friend’? Okay, so maybe some people would but still.

I try not to look dumbfounded and I ask “Who is this person you are inviting”

He says “you’ll see” and goes back to his annoying piece of metal which is currently in his hand.

We have an hour and a half till this mystery person comes and I am hoping it is not a girl for obvious reasons. I need to clean the room because when I was gone it looked as if person x held a party here. Seriously? He is so messy.

I start picking his random pieces of clothing and scrap paper that he decided to litter on the floor.

“Thanks slave” He says sarcastically whilst looking at his phone.

I simply shake my head and roll my eyes at his annoyingness.
