It was 10 in the morning, Sonakshi was still fast asleep at the very same window she spent her entire night weeping bitterly. The Bose family did not want to interrupt her sleep not having courage to wake her up to the same pain, despondency all over again. They wanted her to at least have a peaceful sleep. The Bose family wanted to give their best to cheer up Sonakshi. Though they came to Kolkata with a very little cash in their hand, had to save and minimise their living and spend calculative money, the members of the family yet decided to cut down their share of meal for a few days to make Sonakshi happy by the little gestures they could afford. Asha asked Saurabh to get some flowers, Sona's favourite ice cream, some balloons, to try create a cheerful vibe. They decorated the little space they were adjusting in to cheer Sonakshi, for the few minutes they could.

Asha then woke Sonakshi up, scared of the unusual happening that Sonakshi was fast asleep past 10' o clock. Asha sighs with a sense of comfort and relief when Sonakshi wakes up. Some obvious things frightened Asha.
Sona opens her eyes to the beautiful sight of some bright flowers, weirdly cute balloons and few tubs of her favourite ice cream. The room filled with the fragrance of the flowers. Sonakshi began grinning ear to ear and happily began to say "mujhe pta tha, kaha h wo?". The Bose family not knowing what to say, asks "Kaun Sona?" Her face dropped, her smile began to fade. Understanding it is not what she thinks it is, Sonakshi tries covering up her previous sentence "Kaun kya? Dada, maa!, mujhe pta tha ki wo aisa kuch krne wala h.." and began smiling trying to not let anyone see the pain beyond her eyes. "Thank you dada, thank you maa baba dadi. Lekin aap sab ko aisa kuch krne ki zarurat nhi h, m khush hu. Jo h, jaise h waise khush hu. Aap sab mere liye pareshan mt ho. Agar aap log khush ho, mujhe Kuch aur matter hi nhi krta. Aap ki khushi m meri khushi h. Please. I'm fine. Aap log pareshan mt ho. Waise bhi mujhe ye sab aap sabhi keliye krni chahiye. After all, meri wajah se hi toh ye sab hua, aap sab ko ye din dekhna pada. Lekin, I promise maa baba, sab kuch badlega, mein aap logon ko aur pareshan nhi krunga. Jaha se yaha tak aaya hum, uss se aage leke jaunga aap sabko, aur phir kabhi aap logon ko ye din dekhne nhi dunga. Ye aap sabhi se meri vaada h. Bas thodi samay dedo mujhe. I know I don't deserve your trust dobara, but one last chance" she continued to say, then gave them all a bear hug not letting them say anything and walks away.

Sonakshi then left the house in search of a job, an opportunity, that could feed her family, sustain their living. She hoped and believed that there would be something awaiting for her, something that'd lift their standard of living to something better. To something where they no longer had to compromise but adjust a little. And then to something the Bose siblings always dreamt of, something Sonakshi always strived and continues to strive for, but now from a much lower level.
Little did she know that she was getting ready to face a day filled with rejections, hopelessness, vexation, and surprises.

Delhi

"Oh my mother jiji, aap itni morning, here what kar rahe ho? Kya Dev office chala gaya ya abhi tak ghar aya hi nhi?" said GKB with a slight sarcasm. "My Red subah on time office chala gaya. Wo kya h na jiji, my red ko kaam first, aur bakhi cheeze next. Aap apni ladla ko bhi sambhalo na, aakhir office to uska hi h. Lekin kya kare my red ki tarah h nhi na jiji, Dev ko toh bakhi cheeze first aur kaam next hogaya today tomorrow" spoke GKB slyly. "Kya kare, uss bangalan se marriage keliye no krne ko bola tha bhi maine. Lekin iss house me meri baat kaun sunte. Ab aap hi dekhiye, Dev ka aur iss ghar ka kya haal bana diya. Nuksaan hi nuksaan jiji" she said smiling sheepishly. Ishwari, as always, holding her insecurities in, began cursing Sonakshi, still not being able to get herself to accept the truth, the reality that she and her insecurities had a major role in separating Dev and Sonakshi, and is also one of the reasons for Dev's current situation. To bring in the new shade of Dev. Her heart knows it all, she does feel terrible somewhere, yet is not ready to accept it all. Still not ready to do something to make the situation better. She comforts herself transferring all the blame to Sonakshi and see Radha Rani, her loving daughter Neha not leave a chance to taunt Sonakshi.
