It had been 2 weeks since the new energy filled the land. Nobody thought anything of it, and they still don't. They might have hallucinated it, who knows. They just kept on their lives, including a small, savory object who was remembered for the things she sold. Silly trinkets? Nonsense! Silver, bronze, or gold? Who would buy that shit?

The object was in their house, busy with kitchen work. She had a horrible feeling about the other salespeople that they couldn't shake off. She knew she had to do this, and why not make it tasty for everyone at the same time? Yeah!

Flour was all over the countertop, many bowls and pans were dirty, and there were treats on cooling racks letting their heat melt away. They were dark, brown cakes made from acorns. Topping them was a savory nutmeg-acorn frosting with stars from a piping bag. After a half hour of cleaning the area and letting the treats cool, their acorn cakes were finally done!

The object cut each cake into an equal slice before slowly and carefully placing them onto paper plates. They then placed the plated cakes onto glass platters and put a dome around each, but not before adding a price to them. She put the now protected delicacies onto a rolling cart and took it outside.

It was a beautiful sunny day outside, and lots of objects were gathered around to enjoy it. Around the area was a small patio where anyone could buy and sell things, that of which the objects just decided to call Marketland. She had parked their cart on a little spot right next to Puffball's lemonade stand. The pink orb of fluff may have good intentions, but the baker's gut feeling said otherwise.

"Hello everyone, I thought I'd try the selling thing like a few others are doing," she started advertising their product into a small microphone. "I made some acorn cake today, and you can get a slice for four dollars. I hope you enjoy it."

Nobody really paid attention to her sales pitch, and Cake just turned himself away. She sighed and just decided to wait a bit longer.

After a few minutes, she noticed a thin, metal object walking up to the stand with a larger, transparent one behind her. A soft, light voice exited the thin one's mouth. "Hello, Pie! I heard your pitch, and I really like cake! It is just four dollars, right?"

Pie nodded as the customer handed over a five dollar bill. Pie smiled as she gave their consumer a plate of cake and some quarters in change. "Thank you, Needy."

Needle grunted at Pie's slip up, but the cake was so good she didn't bother slapping them. She finished the slice so quickly! "Bottle, I bet you'll enjoy the cake, but don't tell anyone how good it is so we can buy all of it to ourselves. Got it?"

Bottle got excited and bought a slice of cake. She took one bite and decided it was heaven on earth.

"Hey everyone! Come check out Pie's cakes! They're so cheap and delicious!"

Suddenly, Pie's stand was crowded with customers. So many objects pushing and shoving to get to the delectable cakes before they sold out. Pie couldn't hide her smile as the lot was scrambling to get a slice. Bottle was really happy for Pie's success while Needle let out a cakeless sigh.

"And now I'm all sold out." Pie said as Eraser and his friend group gave Lightning death glares for buying the last piece. Everyone was crowded around the stand begging the pastry to make more. "Don't worry, everyone. I'll make even more tomorrow. They'll be four dollars yet again."

Sighs of relief came from everyone as Pie collected the plates and rolled the cart back to her house. Upon arriving back home, they threw out the plates, washed the glass dishes and went to bed.

Little did she know, she'd be sitting on a throne of acorn cake.
