Sofie's P.O.VI opened my eyes to see that I'm in a greenhouse. I go to try and leave but the doors quickly shut on me.
"What the hell." I mumbled. I tried to pry them open but they wouldn't budge. I suddenly hear a bunch of squawking, making me cover my ears. I turn around to see a bunch of crows headed towards me. Before I could feel them pecking at me, my eyes shoot open.
"S-spike?!" I called his name as I breathed heavily.
"Hey, what's the matter?" He quickly came over to me with sleepy eyes.
"There were crows coming at me a-and I-I was stuck." I tried to tell him what I saw but I couldn't really form a straight sentence.
"Sof, it's ok. You're safe with me." He held my hands in assurance. After looking in his eyes to see if he was lying, I finally relax. I watch as Spike gets water and brings it to me.
"Drink this." He said. I comply and take big sips of the water. He sets it down and gets ready to go back to his sleeping spot
"Can you stay with me?" I ask. He turns around and slightly smiles.
"Of course, Sof." He got under the covers with me and I swiftly lay into his side with my head on his chest. He tensed up for a few seconds before relaxing into my touch.
"Thank you." I mumbled.
"Don't worry about it." He said as he started playing with my hair. I quickly drifted off into a deep sleep.
***The Next Day***
Ok so apparently someone is snatching up babies from what Bea told us. Now we are looking for a woman called Susan Shipley and we need to ask her what she knows.
Bea, Billy, and I were walking the streets, searching for the lady. I did a few cartwheels and front flips, getting a few stares.
"Watch where you goin' you flippin' freak!" An old woman said.
"Sorryy!" I told her.
"Sof, please be careful, you just got hurt last night." Billy said.
"Aw, is Billy worried about me?" I joked.
"Yea, yea. Now, watch where you're flippin'." He said. I smirked and walked straight.
"Bea, I think this is a stupid idea. A man follows you from a graveyard and asks you to help find someone involved in a kidnapping?" Billy said.
"They're private detectives." Bea said.
"That's what he told you. For all we know, this girl saw him take the baby. Now he wants to do her in." Billy said.
"I don't think thats the case, Billy. You're being dramatic." I rolled my eyes.
"Look, we just have to find her and ask what she knows." Bea said.
"Sounds simple enough. That's easy money right there." I smiled.
"Is it? Cause last time I checked, there's four million people in London. It's like looking for a—
"Found her!" All of a sudden Spike popped up in front of us. I smiled at his sudden presence.
"Where is she?" I ask him.
"She staying above a cobblers on Brookwater Street in clerkenwell." Spike said in confidence.
"How did you find her?" Billy asked and I roll my eyes.
"It doesn't matter, Billy. He found her." I told him.
"If you must know, you know Pete McGregor, the fishing wire guy? He owed me a favor from the time I found his dog on Clapham Common. He use to live in Bayswater, so I said, "Do you know Susan Shipley?". He said, "Nah, mate. The only person I know down in Bayswater is me Auntie Aggie."—
