"I've been living my life like this. If I give people advice, I get food or money in return."
Moriarty...
"Jeez, I'm sick of those people from the lower class…"
William (the bastard).
"Penny for your thoughts, brother?"
Albert nearly screamed in fright if he wasn't so used to his sister's strange hobbies of scaring people to death.
He looked to the side and saw Alex sitting on his chair. How did she even get inside his room without being noticed??
"Well? Don't keep me waiting, brother. You should know, I hate being patient." Albert gulped at the deadly tone of his younger sister.
"What do you think about commoners?" Albert asked.
Alex stopped whatever she was doing and gave him a deadpanned look. "Are you a moron or something?"
Albert opened his mouth to protest, but he was cut off.
"To be honest with you, I think being a commoner is better than royalty and nobility."
Albert's eyes widened. "Why? Why would you say that?"
Alex softly smiled. "Sure, commoners are poor and are often seen as worse than trash, but they have something we don't."
Albert was confused. "And what is that??"
Alex looked at him in the eyes. "Freedom."
Albert's eyes widened.
"We don't have freedom. Royals and nobles have so many rules and do this, do that. It sucks being not your own person. The people will only see you for your title, but not you."
Alex looked away from her brother to stare at the window. "I want that. I want to be free. I want to be my own person."
"Alex…" Albert softly exclaimed, but before he could say anything Alex opened the window and gave her brother a smirk.
"One day, you'll have to choose, brother. Stay here and forever be stuck inside this rotten cage,"
"Or… get out and be free."
And with that, Alex jumped out of the window.
"ALEX!" Albert ran towards the window, but paused when he saw his sister walking casually and unharmed, he felt relieved.
He sighed as he closed his window. "She always knows when to give me a heart attack." He muttered before laying down his bed.
He has a lot of thinking to do.

.“The sleeping beauty is finally here.” Alexandra gave her bastard of a brother a subtle glare as she gracefully sat down next to Albert.
“Where have you been, young lady?” Their mother demanded.
“Are you sure you wanna know?” Alexandra smirked.
“On second thought, I don’t even want to know.” Her mother sneered.
How ugly.
Alexandra snorted before casting a glance at Albert, who has been oddly quiet during dinner.
‘Are you okay?’ Albert snapped out of it when he felt Alexandra tapping on his leg.
Albert looked at her before giving a barely noticeable nod.
