The small village in which she lived was greatly affected by her mother's death, but not for the reason you might think. Amara had been the one to brighten up everyone's day but now she had lost all happiness it seemed like everyone else had to. No one greeted anyone in the street, no one offered to help with a job, no one even waved a simple hello: all the life had been seeped out of the once happy town. When they saw Amara walking down to the bakery or to the church she kept her head down and stared at nothing more than a persons feet. Would everything ever be normal again? She didn't think so.
