COUNTING STARS

At 11pm
Sanem was walking on the street all alone. After walking for about an hour she sees a huge cricket ground with only one streetlamp in it . she then goes in that ground and sees that that there is only one bench in that huge ground then she went and sat on that bench and looked at the sky for awhile and then she started counting stars aloud.

After sometime
"......47,48 ,49 and aa"
"counting stars brings bad luck don't count them. " a voice came from behind came.
Sanem turned and saw that there was some boy and said to him " Excuse me you messed up my count and in what age you live , its 21st century and still you believe in such superstitious sayings."
" I just told you what my grandma told me its up to you to believe it or not,and from your mood well I guess that your troubled and to escape from your problems you came here at this hour. Nevertheless I'm leaving have happy counting aahhh and by the way you were at 49." and then he began to go and Sanem from behind said
" You also have got some problem and thats why you are here to escape from it , you are nothing different from me. I don't know about bad luck but counting stars helps and relaxes your soul , you should even try it."
The boy after listening to her turned back and sat beside her .
"I'm Can by the way and you are saying counting stars in the middle of the night will help resolve my problems" he said.
"I'm Sanem and I guess we both are trying to escape from something , it won't resolve your problem but atleast help you to get away from it for awhile " she smiled and said.
"well if we are trying to escape then why are we talking about it . I have an idea lets forget everyone and everything and lets talk like two strangers, lets talk about us and no one else neither friends nor family only us." Can proposed.
Sanem stared at him for a while and then said " why should I talk to you who are you I don't even know if I'm safe with you or not why should I trust you hmm tell."
"ok then I should keep going " Can said and began to get up just then Sanem said
" wait sit down we can talk anyway I'm bored counting stars and something from inside of me says you can be trusted a little." she smiled and said
" 'A little ' only you say !" Can said.
" What do think , you are a stranger after all and be happy that atleast I said a little. " Sanem said.
" Ok I will adjust with that 'Little' "
Can Said and sat down and they both talked about each other for a while and after sometime Can suddenly looking at the ground asked
" Do you like cricket?"
"what!"Sanem was suprised.
"I asked do you like cricket can you hear me dear."Can said.
"Ofcourse I can hear what do you mean 'can you hear ' and yes I like Cricket very much , why did you ask all of a sudden?"Sanem asked him.
" you are hot tempered now I get it"Can teased her.
"and you think that you are genius who can judge everyone around but you are wrong you are an idiot. "Sanem got irritated and said to him.
"your complement accepted ma'am now get up we have to go." Can got up and pulled her.
"where?"Sanem asked.
"just get up I'll tell you come on fast ."
Sanem was confused but went behind him. Can ran on the opposite side of the ground where there was a small cabin.
"here they keep all the equipments for cricket we can break in and get a bat and a ball. "Can said.
Sanem was frightened and said "what if someone catches us lets go back."
"No one will I guarantee you and if someone does I will take the blame ok." Can tried to convince her.
" Do whatever you want but just don't involve me." Sanem said.
" ok then I'm going alone inside "saying this Can went inside the cabin through the window and after a few minutes came out and bought a bat and a ball with him.
"see I told you no will catch us lets play now come on "
"you are maniac you know. Are going play cricket here at this hour. "
"yes I'm manaic thank you and if you can count stars while sitting on that bench like a ghost then why can't we play cricket. Now can we start and aah I will bat first , take the ball and go come on. "Can said.
" ooof what an idiot have I met " Sanem said and took the ball and went to her position.
then they both started playing
After sometime
"ohh no what time is it I need to go I have school tomorrow. " Sanem suddenly shouted out of no where.
"You scared me girl and probably awakened the whole neighborhood. Fine we should go now it is late anyways . can we meet tomorrow again if its ok for you."Can asked.
Sanem raised her eyebrows gave a look and after thinking for few seconds said
"we can but I'm free at 1.00 pm only after my school as I can't meet at nights other than for sundays so if its no problem for you at this time we can. "
"No no I have no problem I'll be here at 1. lets go now its very very late , I'll drop you. " Can said.
"Thanks but I'll go myself. "
"No I insist we can walk together. "
"I really wish we could but if my mom or neighbors see us together you know what I mean I'll be in trouble so its better I go alone but thank you like for everything really it felt good."Sanem smiled and replied.
"ok I totally get but I'll give you my number so text me when you reach home so that I know you reached like safe and sound in one piece."Can blushed.
Sanem laughed and said "ok I will text you."
Then they both smiled and Can saved his number on Sanem's phone.

Can and Sanem both left the ground and went in opposite directions on the street and after a few steps they both turned at the same time , blushed and waved at each other and left.

Sanem reached her home and while standing outside she texted Can "Reached sir😑."
Can standing in the parking of his house got Sanem's message. After reading it he gave a smirk and replied "Good kid🧐 now go to bed GN..." and went to his room.
Sanem read it and texted "Gn💤"and then entered inside.
