Asher POV
I heard the singing of the birds outside. I glanced out to see the sun-lit forest of winter. Today I shall show Zevida the horses then she will have to love me, I thought of a plan all night. Great I need to get ready for the surprise. I got a woven basket, berries, bread, cheese, a glass bottle of water and a cold but very good soup, I put a blanket over the basket to hide the food. Now, time to wake Zevida up. I put a hand on her head and smoothed her hair back.
"What do you want!" she groaned.
"Come on, wake up." I said in a soothing tone. Her eyes open in alarm and she sat up quickly almost hitting me in the head.
"Sorry."
"No, it's ok. Come on we need to get going so I can show you the horses. They're about half a days trek. So we have to get moving."
"Yhea okay."
We stared to walk along the forest floor. Weaving past trees. The sun raising into the sky. Deer scuttered away as they heared us step on twigs. We walked and walked and walked. My legs were killing me and I collapsed on a pile of leves when we got there.
Zevida POV
We got there!
Finally, I haved for filled my dream. I sat down under a tree and watched the horses running free tossing there heads around, galloping in their herds, the colts running around playing. One mare which was gray had its chestnut foal by its side. The foal was smaller then the others. Half a hour had gone past in the blink of an eye. Wait where has Asher been?
"Small isn't she? She was born premature. I came down here one day and saw her struggling to get up I walked up to her and saw a bullet hole in her leg. I named her Faith. I had faith that she would survive and she did!"
I turned around as Asher placed his hand gently on my shoulder. I saw a couple of candles on a rug, with two plates and glasses, bread, cheese, berries, soup and a glass bottle of water arranged on the floor. There was also a comforting fire on the floor. Asher on the other hand held a bunch of winter wild flowers. This was so kind and loving of him. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. He put his arm around my waist as we walked over to the rug. We ate the food long into the afternoon, the soup was amazing. Asher is such a good cook.
The sun was low in the sky.
"Come with me, I'll show you somewhere amazing." He took my hand and led me to a high tree.
"You like climbing?"
"I can climb up with ease."
We climbed up to the top were there was a treehouse made of green leaves.
Asher helped me in and lit a few candles, then we watched the sunset, once it was dark I turned towards him and he turned towards me, we looked into each others eyes for what seems like ages but I never got boared there was silence only the owls hoots were echoing in the distance.
"I love you." Asher said in a whisper.
"I love you too."
Our foreheads were then touching each other and we both lent in his lips were touching then he pulled away.
"Oh what the h*ll." I whispered and grabbed his head with both of hands and pulled him in for a very long kiss...
