Chapter 4

3rd Person POV

Meanwhile in professor Kukui's house Ash and his Pokemon were asleep but wait Pikachu's ears were twitching. Pikachu woke up to see two different color Umbreon's one yellow with a piece of paper and a blue one with it. Pikachu tried to wake Ash up key word tried so he/she went with his/her last resort to electrocute Ash. 

"Hey, what was that for?!" Ash yelled standing on the couch now awake. "Pika Pika (Up There)" Pikachu pointed up to the rooftop opening. Ash looked up to see two Umbreon's the yellow one dropped the piece of paper it was holding. "What's this? All right!!" Ash read the paper then got excited. "What is it Ash?! WHAT IS IT?!" Rotom Dex yelled asking Ash what the paper was for. 

Meanwhile on a different part of the beach 

"Look sharp! The Pokemon won't wait to be caught forever!" Jessie says telling her partners who were dreading being awake so early in the morning "However, I don't see any reason to get up at the crack of dawn..."James says the yawns loudly. "I do. If Bewear finds us before we swoop in, it's game over for the day. We do what we please while Bewear gets some Zs!" Jessie tells both James and Meowth. "HUH?!" they all exclaimed seeing a boy with blonde hair with a yellow Umbreon and a girl with short h/c standing next to him with a Umbreon with the color blue instead of yellow. "Isn't that ?"James questions "Yup! It's that blonde trainer and the youngest Pokemon master from before" Meowth tells Both James and Jessie.

"What are they doing here?" Jessie questions "To tell the truth, I haven't a clue. But look!" James exclaims seeing both teens hugging and point at the Alolan sunrise.

A couple of minutes before both Gladion and Y/N hugged

Both trainer's watch as their Umbreon's deliver the piece of paper to Ash. Gladion looked over to Y/n seeing she was one reason he started to become a trainer and another to look for his father. " N/n why did you become a Pokemon trainer in the first place" Gladion asked Y/n "Well before my parents passed away I didn't even think about becoming one to be honest" Y/n responded "You see when the reason I even started was a way for me to cope with my parent's death but to start a new part of my life with a new beginning and it started with when I got my partner Moon" Y/n told Gladion. He looked at her maybe they did find a way to cope with Pokemon to over come their own feeling for losing someone. "I guess we both found being Pokemon trainer's is a way for us to cope with losing a loved one you know I lost my Dad when I was little I still miss him" Gladion told Y/n. That's when Y/n wrapped her arms around him "Yeah but who knows maybe he's happy right now" Y/n tells Gladion while hugging him then lets go seeing both Umbreon's return. 

3rd Person POV

"Gladion! Y/N! I got your note. Thank you." Ash yelled running up on the beach where he saw both teens. "I asked you here so I can test your battling skills. See what Tapu Koko sees in you. And also to get a chance to battle N/n" Gladion tells Ash. By a palm tree we have team rocket spying on the teens "Enter the Twerp!" Jessie says "But why is he with them?" James questions "A Twerp convention" Meowth asks. 

Back with Y/n----

"The battle between Ash and Gladion will now commence each trainer will battle until one of the sides Pokemon is unable to battle! Battle Begin!" Y/n says "All right, Rockruff! Time to battle!" Ash yells letting out Rockruff from his/her Pokeball "Lycanroc, show your crimson glare. Let's GO!" Gladion yells tossing his Pokeball letting out Striker. Y/n observed as the Rockruff looked at the Lycanroc determined to win "Now, I know you're battling your hero, Lycanroc so give it your best shot!" Ash exclaims "Ruff (Of course)".

"Kay, Rockruff, use bite!" Ash yells to rockruff. Y/n watches as Ash's Rockruff run back and forth then behind Striker to then bite his right paw. Y/n saw Striker shake-off Rockruff to land back on it's feet "Rock Throw!" Ash yelled the next move "Stone Edge, now!" Gladion commanded towards Striker. Y/n saw as both Pokemon ready their moves one with rock coming from the tail and seeing Striker smash his left paw to the ground causing sharp rocks to come from the ground. Each rock throw used by Rockruff was destroyed "Quick, dodge it!" Ash yelled seeing as the sharp rock approach. "Crunch, now!" Gladion commanded. Y/n saw both the stone edge move with Lycanroc move towards Rockruff then appear in front of Ash's rockruff. Then one of the sharp rock hits Rockruff from under then Y/n saw Lycanroc jump after Rockruff to use crunch. Y/n knew it was the end of the battle once she saw the Rockruff fall from the air to the ground. "Rockruff, no" Ash yelled but Y/n was surprised when she saw Rockruff jump back up.
