Luke really needs to learn when to stop messing around with people. He doesn't have to joke around all the time. When we walked into the apartment it smelt like someone had just done the nasty. I know that we're guys and its "normal" for us to be smelly. There's still no reason the whole place should reek of sex. That's not even what makes me mad. He just doesn't know how to think before he talks.
I hate to hear him talk about my sex life. I didn't think that he would bring up the fact that I could just use a towel to keep things clean. I don't hide it from people but to hear the guy I love remind me that I do it with other people makes me pissed. I need a few drinks to calm down. Maybe even a quick hookup too.
I think I should have told Luke that I was going to a friend's house, but I hate to lie to him. He may joke around a lot, but he is still a sensitive person. It doesn't show in front of other people but around me he acts different. Its most likely because we were destined to be friends since before we were even born, so there's just that comfort there. I mean our moms went to school together and have stayed friends all that time. Thinking about it makes me laugh.
I call for an uber and wait outside of the building. It doesn't take more than 10 minutes for them to get to where I am. When I get in, I ask them to stop at a restaurant about 5 minutes away from the bar. It's an "underground" bar so Its not out in the open. The restaurant that you have to stop at is pretty good too. Sometimes I stop there before the bar opens and get some food. A lot of guys hang out there since it is the meeting place for the bar. The bar is down a back road by the restaurant.
Its almost 7 by the time I get to the bar. I turned on my snap map so that Luke wouldn't be as worried. He checks up on me through snap map when I go places without him. We grew up together so it's kind of strange for us to not be together. Even as kids we would sleep over at each other's houses most nights and we went to school together too. In the last year or so he's gotten kind of possessive over me. I don't mind but he has no reason to be possessive. It gives me false hope.
When I get in the bar, which was just opened 30 minutes ago, its already packed. I go and sit at the bar and order a drink. I look young but a lot of the men here do too. We know how to take care of our skin. I show my fake ID and it works. I knew it would because I came here when Luke and I checked out the campus. Every now and then it will be nice to have a place like this to turn to. Especially when Luke stresses me out.
"Is this seat taken?" An unfamiliar voice says from behind me. I turn around to see a tall hunk. Id fall for his looks instantly if I wasn't so into Luke. He'll work for a mood lifter though. A lot of men here are closeted married Dilfs. Perfect for hookups.
"It is now." I smile and motion towards the seat. The man sits down, and I am able to take in his appearance a bit more. He's toned but not super muscular, a button-down polo shirt and jeans, the buttons on the shirt are opened to the middle and there is a clear view of his chest.
"Thanks, I'm Ollie. You are?" Ollie holds out his hand for me to shake. He seems to be well mannered. Probably works in a job that requires a lot of communication.
"I'm Zac." I try to play hard to get so that he'll continue to pursue me. I've gotten good at being picked up in bars over the last two years.
"Nice to meet you. Can I buy you a drink?" Ollie holds up his glass. I'll let him get me one to start with. I want to see how far he'll go to talk to me. I nod and smile.
"One orange crush and a refill of my bourbon." He sets his glass on the table and the bartender fills it up. He must be a regular here because the bartender act more friendly when he's here. Last time I came here there was a different bartender but that might be because it was a weekend when I came.
"Here you go. Hope you don't mind fruity drinks." Ollie says with a laugh and puts his hand on my shoulder. I laugh and take a sip. Wow! That is strong. I already had a beer but that's nothing compared to this. I knew talking to him was a good choice. I love vodka in mixed drinks. Personally, I think its better than tequila in mixed drinks.
After talking for about an hour the bar gets quite full. Since Ollie and I were talking, there weren't too many guys making moves on me. I like that better because Ollie is nice company. I don't want to leave here too late, so hopefully Ollie asks me to his place or a hotel for a while.
"Do you want to get out of here?" Ollie leans in and whispers. My goal for the night is going really well. Ollie grabs his coat off the table and places a 50-dollar bill on the bar. The bartender walks over and grabs it while shooting Ollie a smile.
Ollie takes me outside to his car. He definitely has some money but that doesn't matter to me. I just need to get my mind off Luke for a while. The car smells like cologne as soon as I get in. He has really good taste in everything like drinks, men because he chose me, cologne, and cars. This is going to be a good night.
"We could go to my place or wherever you're more comfortable." Ollie starts the car and turns on the heat. He is very considerate. It seems like he noticed that I didn't bring my coat with me. It tends to get a bit chilly here at night. It doesn't get too hot during the day either.
"I'm ok with whatever." Ollie nods and pulls out of his parking spot. I use this time to get on my phone and check on Luke. As soon as I turn on my phone, I get hundreds of messages.
"Sorry, my roommate is a bit overbearing." I silence my phone and text Luke saying I won't be home till late and that he can have Sam over. His "girlfriend". Its only about 11 so he should still be up. Looks like we were talking longer than I thought.
We drive for about 20 minutes before we stop outside a beautiful Hotel. Ollie doesn't want to make me feel weird so he's bringing me somewhere more public. We exchanged numbers so I might meet up with him again in the future. We go in the building and he gets a suite. I offered to split the cost, but he insisted that he pay for it. Looks like I'm in for a long night. How fun it has been a while!
