This chapter is super short but I hope you guys like it 😊
*********
The moon began to rise as the sun set. Tears were slowing making their way down my cheeck as I stated out the window. We past a lot of rolling hills and fields of corn, but no houses yet. It felt like this journey would never end.

Finally, in the distance, I saw a small neighborhood. It was very small and cute but the houses were enormous, compared to mine. My eyes lit up when Mr. Angecourt pulled into the driveway of a nice house: the front was all brick, the front door was painted a bright red and the yard was full of toys and swings.

I hopped out of the car and grabbed my bags. Mr. Angecourt knocked on the door as he impatiently waited. The door creaked open and the most beautiful women with the most gentle smile welcomed me. She hugged me as soon as I walked through the door. It felt like I was her long lost daughter.

The house was even more beautiful than I thought: a big glass chandelier hanging in the middle, beautiful furniture filled the rooms and the kitchen was huge. It looked as this house was about 3 stories tall. Yay!

The women walked me to the living room where a very tall man and a young girl sat on the couch. The little girl jumped up and hugged me for about 20 seconds.

"Hello! We are so glad you will be living with us!" The mother said happily.

"Yes, very excited! This is Natalie, I'm David and our daughter is Auburn." David introduced the family like he was proud to be a part of it and I respect that.

"Nice to meet you and I am very excited to live with you all, too." I said.

"Mommy, can I show Cars her room please?!" Auburn asked as if she was going to a carnival.

"Well, sure. If that is fine with Cara?"

"Of course! I would be so happy if you showed me to my room." I said as I bent down beside Auburn and looked in her pale, blue eyes.

"Yay!!"

I smiled as Auburn pulled me up the stairs an into my room.

My mouth almost fell off when I stepped into the room. It was enormous! There were beautiful blue curtains hanging from the windows, a small couch covered with pillows and a blanket, a TV mounted on the wall. In the corner stood a desk with cabinets and shelves all around. Last and definitely not least, the bed: Blue and pink covers with a zigzag pattern covered the mattress along with a black blanket and about 20 pillows.

I can totally imagine myself sleeping here. Auburn smiled as I jumped on the bed. She joined in once she realized she could.

"I'm really happy you're gonna be my older sister!" Auburn said and then jumped on the bed.

"I'm really glad, too." I thought of Elanie and my parents and a tear ran form my eye but I wiped it as soon as I felt it on my cheek.

"Auburn, come downstairs. Let Cara settle in for a while, okay honey?" Natalie called from downstairs.

"Coming!" Auburn rushed down the stairs and I sat back on my bed.

This was like a dream coming true.
