Chapter 1

Kai'Lee

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I harshly slammed my hand onto the snooze button. I rubbed my eyes a little hard, I had to admit I look HORRIBLE in the morning. I peeled the covers off of me and trudged into the bathroom. I did my hygiene thing and picked out my clothes. I was wearing a Hi-Bye Crop Top, Dark Pink Skinny Jeans, and Silk Grey TOMS wedges. I went over to my drawers and opened my accessories drawer. I pulled out a Love Squared charm bracelet. My dad gave me this bracelet before he joined the Marines. I wear it everyday. I crimped my thick Indian hair. Then i trudged downstairs with the souls of my wedges slapping the marble steps.-

Mom: Hey Hun! *kisses my forehead*

Me: *fake smile* Hey, um when are you coming home tonight?

Mom: ......... 3 a.m.

Me: WHAT?

Mom: Honey, you understand don't you?

Me: Uh hello? have you caught the memo? YES I UNDERSTAND BUT I DON'T SEE WHY YOUR STILL DOING THIS! YOU HAVE MORE MONEY THAN I EVER WILL!!

Mom: Kai please, I cant just drop out!

Me: And why not *crosses arms*

Mom: Your to young to understand

Me: To young to understand what? THAT MY MOTHER IS A HOE AND SHE MIGHT BE INFECTED WITH SOME PENIS DISEASE?

Mom: Hu-

Me: FORGET IT! I'm going to school. If I don't come home, you wont realize. Because your home at 3-

I walked out of the house with a stash of snacks in my bag and a wad of money in my messenger bag. I walked out and wasn't worrying about coming back

I dashed out of my house and down the porch steps. I didn't even BOTHER  to close the door. They didnt notice 'till a stray cat strolled in. I was race-walking down the street with hot tears running down my face. My thin curls were getting in the way. I kept brushing them out of the way, but soon it meant no use. So I left them there hanging. This time they were arguing about me. My dad told me that I was the reason that this family was falling apart and that if I ran away that everyone's life around me would be much more than better. My mom disagreed and said that I was the best  thing that ever happened to her. Im really thankful for her, she's really the whole family I got! I didnt feel like talking to anyone, but I could really use a friend.

Dad: AND STAY TF OUT OF MY HOUSE! Loose peice of shit! -

My dad has been more and more abusive because I've been more and more aggresive with him. I mean I've seen his thing and DAYUM that shit is small! I rushed to school while holding a hand-held mirror to my face trying to get the bumps and bruises off. Then I bumped into somebody. I saw a girl. She was a yellowbone, with curly hair like Madison Pettis but it was about 1/2 an inch shorter. She was wearing Black studded skinny jeans, A red gucci sweater and some white-black-red hightop jordans.-

Me: Oh! Im sorry

Her: No! Its OK

Me: No Im serious! It was TOTALLY my fault

Her: OK well we can agree that its was 1/2 and 1/2

Me: Yeah.... Well whats your name?

Her: Serenity, yours?

Me: Janelle

Her: What school do you go to?

Me: NJHS

Her: OH! Same here! You mind if I walk with you?

Me: Yes! Sure come walk-

Well I just made a friend and it felt AWESOME! We might have one of those long-term relationships. *sighs* Yeah, I've always wanted one of those
