The group of colleagues sat at a table, eating their lunch.
"I really don't think she's a bad person, you guys!" Hazel protested. "We know her background. Her Dad is one of the biggest criminals in America, both her mother and sister were killed when she was young- in front of her, mind you. That must be traumatizing! There could be so much we don't know. And she had to live with him for that long? I don't think she's bad, I think she's just broken."
"We're not saying she's bad." Jason explained. "It's just what she's doing is."
"They only steal from big corporations! When did you ever hear of them stealing from a small business?"
Percy choked down a blue cookie. "Never."
"Exactly. I don't hate them!"
"Wow, Hazel." They all turned to the voice. Luke Castellan, one of the top agents in their section, came over and sat with them. "You're defending criminals?"
Hazel never liked Luke. He was rude and thought he was better than everyone else. "I'm not trying to, Luke." She tried to keep her tone as friendly as possible. "I'm just stating my opinion."
"You were literally defending her."
"I-"
"I didn't come here to argue with you. I came to update you all on our case." Frank stopped glaring at Luke as soon as he caught Hazel's eyes. "A few more of our targets may be at Urban Outfiters today."
"How do we know this?" Jason asked.
"A guard told me that Calypso told him that she and her friends only go to Urban Outfitters on Thursdays. It's when the laziest employees work." He chuckled to himself. "Maybe she should've kept her mouth shut."
Leo clapped his hands together. "So when do we go exactly?"
Luke stood up from his seat and looked at his watch. "In 2 hours." He started walking away. "I expect you all to be ready by then!"

Leo finished talking to a guard and turned the corner. He strolled down the hall, looking into different empty cells. Around this time of year, there weren't many people there. Eventually, he made it to the end of the hall. He heard faint singing and looked into the last cell. Sitting on the floor and whispering different lyrics was Calypso. She wore an orange jumpsuit that was for some reason baggy on her.
Of course, Leo had a reason for coming down here. Sure, she stole. But Leo was starting to grow a liking of her. She wasn't evil. She was just hurt.
"Hey." Calypso flipped her head around.
"What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to talk to you." She laughed at him.
"Am I supposed to believe that?"
"Uh," Leo hesitated. "Yes?"
"What do you want, Valdez." Leo smiled a bit when he heard his name. He unlocked the cell door and looked at her for permission to come in.
"You're coming in?"
"Only if you want me to."
"I don't really want to, but it couldn't hurt, I guess." Leo walked in and she stood up and sat on her bed. "How did you get into this job?"
