Pt 25

Delilah's POV-
We just chill and talk to each other about life and stuff "let's do presents!!" Layla says she started drinking when we got home since she's not driving anymore "ok sure" I say,I get all my presents and go and sit on a beanbag. I don't like my birthday it makes me feel selfish kinda "ok go from small to big" daphne says I cover my mouth and my eyes widen "oh my god delilah ur so immature" she says hitting my shoulder and everyone starts laughing,i pick up a small little bag from next to me and start opening it "OhH I ThInK tHaT oNeS fRoM mE!" Chris says (horse head) I open it and it's a keychain thingy with a frog on it and a frog ring "aww wait! This is so fucking cute! How did u know I like frogs!?" I say smiling "daphne" he says motioning his head to daphne "it's so cute I love it thank you!!" I say hugging him. I grab a small little box,it's not small small but like small idk "I think that ones from me but I don't know" Tracy says I unwrap it and open it,it's a framed picture of him,my grandparents and I "oh my go-tracy how did u get this? Mom only had one copy of it and the rest burned in the house" I say starting to cry "mom ended up having other copy's of it and she mailed some to me like last week I think" he says "aww i love it so much! Thank you" I say and hug him really tight.

A couple years ago at our old house my Abuelo and Abuela (grandpa and grandma in Spanish) were staying at our house when they came to visit,Tracy was at practice for soccer I think and my mom and i were at the grocery store,my grandparents stayed home. My mom and I were driving home and we say a fire truck and an ambulance "please don't turn right please don't turn fucking right!" My mom says,the trucks turn right my eyes start to water and my moms do "come on mom go go!" I say "delilah we can't THERES traffic and we can't go past it!" She says i look around at all the cars around us..fuck. We get to our turn and turn to our street,there's a dead end in our neighborhood our house it the last one. The fire truck and ambulance are parked in front of our house I think that maybe it's a different house maybe the fire in the house hasn't gone outside yet and that's why u can't see any of the house on fire,then I look up a little and there's smoke coming from our house. My mom parks the car and we both get out and run to the house "excuse me ma'am u can't go over here" a man in a police uniform says blocking the way for my mom and i to get in the house "MY PARENTS ARE IN THERE!" She yells "I'm sorry ma'am but u can't go in there's a fire" he says,my mom yells at him more and more. I start to zone out,please be ok please be ok I say in my head/under my breath. A couple minutes later the fire fighters come out the house holding bodies,they put the bodies on the bed thing that the ambulance have. My mom and i rush over to them "OH MY GOD WHAT HAPPENED!" My mom yells following them "we're not exactly sure ma'am,we're putting the fire out and looking for the cause of the fire" a woman says. My mom gets in the back of the ambulance with one of my grandparents,u can't tell who it is tho. I call Tracy and tell him what happens he rushes over here and we drive to the hospital. My moms crying in the waiting room Tracy goes to comfort her and i go to ask the guy at the desk for more information "excuse me sir?" I say "how may I help u?" He says "umm is there any information on my grandparents? There names are,Thomas Dhamer and Karla Dhamer" I say the guy types in the computer "they were in a burning house?" He says "um yes sir" I say shaking my head "ok. there must've been to much smoke in there lungs,and a lot of burns. I'm not exactly sure if they will survive..but doctors are doing their best" he says "ok thank you" i say and walk over to my mom and Tracy. 30 minutes later sum1 calls my moms name "Lana Dhamer?" The lady says my mom stands up and walking over to the lady "yes ma'am that's me" she says in a kinda shaky voice "i am so so sorry ma'am..we tried our best to-" "OH MY GOD NO!" My mom yells/cry's cutting off the lady "I am so sorry,we tried our best but there was to much smoke in there lungs and with the burns it made it harder to save them" the lady says my mom starts bawling her eyes out,Tracy hugs me noticing I'm crying i hug him back.
