Pez and I have been married for 10 years and have four beautiful children together. Leigh-Anne's our eldest, being 11. Then it's Jade, who's just a year younger. Next is Richard, who just turned 6, and Dinah, our baby girl, is 5.
We've been trying to get pregnant again since Dinah, but we couldn't. Pez thought it was his fault, and it took a trip to the doctor to prove it was actually mine.
In the beginning, we were a bit heartbroken, but we still had those four.
Dinah's been asking about being a big sister lately. Her and Richie would bicker and he'd often mention that he's the big brother. I can tell it really got under her skin; I know it did because I'm the baby among my siblings so I know the struggle.
She only ever mentions it after they fight, so it's not a constant thing. But I wish I could give her a little sibling. It's just not possible at the moment.
Today's Saturday and I have the two youngest while Pez has the oldest two. We'd swap out on the weekends and do something with them, then at night, we'd watch a movie and sleep in the living room.
I decided to take them to the playground where my wish began to come true.
