How had this happened!? After fighting with Adrien, Marinette had immediately felt guilty and concluded that it would be best to let him return on his own terms. She waited for hours, but he never came, eventually leading to her falling asleep without him next to her. So, in her half sleep, when she heard the door and felt the jostle on the other side of the bed, she thought it was her husband, only to be surprised by two intruders and a cloth over her mouth. After that she blacked out. Now, here she was, supposedly in the back room of some random building, being restrained by big men on her left and right with two more behind her. Off to the side, Ramone Sharp stood beside a red-haired woman, while her husband stood with his back to a pole, bare chested, and his hands chained on either side of his head. Though the situation wasn't ideal, she was still relieved to see her partner. Adrien didn't have the same reaction upon seeing her. He appeared more disappointed and worried.

"So, as you can see, I have the thing that very well might convince him to speak." Ramone stated.

"How is she going to help here?" the woman questioned bitterly.

"She's his wife. Wouldn't you be willing to talk if your loved one was on the line?"

"I don't love anyone." The other chick snipped.

"That's besides the point Rebecca." Ramone brushed her statement off. Instead shifting his focus back to Adrien with an amused glint in his eyes. Marinette watched as Adrien's muscles tensed, his green eyes filling with definite concern. This is what they had been afraid of all along. The capture of one could lead to the capture of the other, for situations such as this. Their union as husband and wife, put them at risk. Though, they had both been worried, Adrien had expressed that his fear of this reality had grown exceedingly difficult to manage for him. She was stupid to take it so calmly. He was stupid for storming off after the argument. With all due respect, he was entitled to after she had insulted him with his personal history. It wasn't fair of her. It was the wrong move and now they were paying for it. She was the cause, which lead to his effect of leaving, from there the lines blurred. They couldn't blame each other for this one, it was both of their faults. "So, what do you have to tell me?"

"That depends on what you want to know." Adrien smart mouthed.

"We could just start with the fact that we know your identities." Ramone replied smugly. They were toast. If Ramone had figured out their identities, it wouldn't be hard for Hawkmoth to also find out. Either Ramone Sharp was a competent opponent, or they had screwed up somewhere. The stillness of the room was deafening. Mari's livid heartbeat pounding in her chest.

"If that's all you wanted then why don't you let us go on our way?" Adrien reasoned trying to play it cool. Ramone only cackled.

"I'm not stupid Agreste. Volpina told me everything." Volpina? Who's Vol.... Lila. It had been a while since Marinette had heard Lila's code name. "I know what you're up to. You're trying to stop the deal I have with Hawkmoth. So, the question here is, what have you gathered so far?"

"Nothing of which that I will reveal to you." Adrien grit his teeth. Marinette could tell that her husband was being pushed to wits end but was doing everything in his power to stay strong in the face of his opposition. Mari just watched quietly from the sidelines. There wasn't anything she could do except think. Her eyes darted around the room cautiously. She wasn't sure what she was looking for, but hopefully some sort of detail would stick out to her and she could formulate a plan of escape. Her efforts were rendered useless, when Sharp came toward her, a distasteful smirk on his lips.

"That's okay. I have both of you here. I'm sure at some point, one of you is bound to crack." Ramone's fingertips traced along the bottom of Mari's jaw, stopping just before the edge of her chin. His menacing eyes staring straight into hers. Ramone was playing into Adrien's protective side, that was for sure. Normally, stuff like this was manageable for the two, but the fact that they were now sworn to each other, and her spouse was going through a tough patch with his protectiveness, this was guaranteed to be harder than it should have been. Gruffly, Mari pulled her head away, her bangs falling into her eyes.
