DOUXIE POV
She still hasn't woken up. I'm worried. I just got done with a shift at the cafe. It's almost dusk. Blinkous will be here for her soon. Arch says she hasn't moved. She still has a pulse, and her breathing is normal. It's a shame Merlin isn't here. He would know what to do.
"Douxie, I believe I found something!" Archie yelled from downstairs.
Taking one last look at y/n, I make my way towards Archie. Seeing him reading one of the books about pixies for some reason. Which is strange because y/n is a fairy. Upon reading the page Arch shows me, I noticed that it talks about glowing wings. Wait a minute. Pixies are the size of a bug though. You could step on them and they'd be dead. Fairies are the size of the average teenage human. Y/n's been a fairy since the day met. I don-
"She hasn't awakened. Has she?" I heard a voice say.
"No. We found a page with information on glowing wings but... it comes from a book of pixies. It's strange." I ran my had through my hair. I can't figure out what to do with this information.
"Fairies do the same ordeal, when under stress. I knew a few centuries ago. After the battle between the fairies and pixies, the fairies went into hiding. Because of their size, they live the life of a human." The troll explained. He has been around about as long as Merlin. It's not like I can come up with the reasoning.
"I'll be back later on in the week. If she's not awake now, it'll be a few days. Please, watch over her for me. If she wakes, do not let her use any magic. This includes flying as well." After agreeing, he left.
"I'm going to get some sleep. I'll be in the room with y/n." Archie said, receiving a nod from me.
I closed the shop, cleaning it up to take my mind of things. Under stress...then why didn't they glow when the queen of Camelot had died? It doesn't makes sense. There's something to it. Something that no one will tell me. No use stressing over it. I make my way up the stairs to the bathroom. A shower should help.
I turn on the shower, letting the water heat up as I undress. Stepping in once it's my preferred temperature. What seems to be a million thoughts running through my mind as I bathe. My mind goes back to when I was in Camelot. No worries, no stress. Y/n free to fly and not be judge. Merlin free to do his magic. I miss those days.
FLASHBACK
"I feel so stupid in this! I look awful!" Y/n said from behind the curtain."I highly doubt it. You're a princess of an entire kingdom full of people who love you." I said, back turned to the curtain.
"Ouch!"
"Y/n, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, Doux. It's my wings. They make it impossible to tie this thing!" I could hear grunts coming from y/n. "Can you help me tie this? I'm dressed, but my wings make it hard to tie my dress."
"I'll come help the damsel fairy." I said with a chuckle as i walked over to y/n. Tying her dress with ease. She turned around and placed the crown on her head. "Hold on. It's crooked. Here." I straightened the crown, and ended up staring into her eyes for what felt like centuries.
I'll never forget that day. It was when she accompanied her parents to a neighboring kingdom. I ended up being her guard. She had looked so beautiful in white. That was the day I realized how I had truly feel about her. That's was the day I realized that....
I love Y/n Pendragon.
