I made my way to Kasey's house. We always rode together on the first day of school; it was a tradition. I arrived at her house. She came walking towards me. The first thing I noticed was her long strawberry blonde hair, god it was gorgeous. She was wearing a casual blue dress and "shoes that were to die for" as Kasey would say. "Hey pal!"  Kasey said as she closed my car door. "Are you ready, Bri? The last first day of high school, hell yes!" "I guess that is one reason to be excited." Kasey and me have always been complete opposites. She was loud, likable, and scatter brained. Me on the other hand.. quiet and organized as can be. The remainder of the ride to school Kasey told me about the "irresistable" Tommy, some guy she was talking to. The boys never stayed away from her and she returned the favor.  I arrived at school and walked into my first block. I caught up with many fimilar faces and sat down as Mr. Graven, my math teacher, walked in. "Your assighnment is on the board. Lets not go over the rules that are common sense, ain't nobody got time for that." Mr. Graven has always been my favorite teacher. This was my second year having him. Math was my favorite subject and he appreciated my efforts. "Hey Brihghton, glad to see you back in my class.' "Glad to be here Mr. Graven." We exchanged smiles as he walked towards his desk. "So are you good at math because it's my weak spot." I hadn't even realized someone was sitting across from me. "Oh damn" I said  in a suprised tone. Did I just say that out loud?! "What..?" Come on Brighton you've seen an attractive guy before. "Nothing.. you just scared me, and yes, I am good at math." "Cool." I had made a fool of myself, way to go. It was kinda hard not to be suprised.. Ive never seen eyes that blue or hair that black before. Oh my god, even his complection was perfect, not one flaw. "Yeah, cool" are the only words that slipped out of my mouth for the next 10 minutes. I had no choice but to stare at the clock every minute wondering how much longer I had to stand the awarkdness I had created. "So, what's your name?" he finally said. I doubt he cared what my name was, I would of broke the tension also if I had one daring bone in my body.  "Brighton, what about you?"  His eyes smiled. "Caiden."  he replied. "Cool." Cool? Could I be any more awkward? He just made me feel uneasy. He was so attractive, it was intimidating. The remainder of the class went by slowly. I was counting down the minutes. Finally, the bell rang. I shoved past familar faces while I was making my way to my next class, physics. Me and Kasey had that class together. She finally walked in right before the tarty bell rang; it was nice to see my best friend after such a awkward expierence. "Hey Bri." Kasey said. "Hey Kasey." "So how was first block?" "It was fine." "Well my day has been more than fine, this super dreamy guy walked me to this class and I got his number. His name is Caiden."  This made me weirdly annoyed. Kasey always had every guy, can she not take a break? God. "Oh, haven't heard of him, but that's cool I guess." "Well, I was more excited than that.. Are you okay, Bri?" "Yeah i'm fine."  The remainder of the day was long and boring. The teachers went over old rules all day, of course. The bell rang and I slowly made my way to my car. Before I got in my car I heard someone calling my name.. "Hey Bri!" I looked behind me to find Caiden standing there with his blue eyes focused on mine.
