A mother with a kind heart, a father with a burning passion, siblings ignored, a child pushed to greatness, but is that enough? Greatness won't come easy for Shoto Todoroki, but he'll try to get there. He'll do everything to become a hero, more then just that, he wants to become the opposite of Endeavor.
One morning, Shoto Todoroki had a lot on his mind. left his UA dorm to get to class, his head down, eyes aimed toward his feet. There was a look of desperation, as if he wanted to escape an ongoing nightmare. Walking towards class, he saw a scrawney figure. Looking up, Shoto saw the Blue eyes and blond hair. "Hello All Might," he said in an exhausted tone. All Might noticed this, telling Todoroki to come with him. He called Aizawa, telling him he is privately training Shoto today. All Might took the student outside on a walk. "What do you need?" Shoto asked, wanting this to be over so he can go to class and then try and sleep. "You look exhausted, Todoroki. Are you having trouble sleeping? I want to help you with whatever you are going-" Toshinari says, cut off. Todoroki quickly tells him that it is a personal issue. All Might stops walking through the forest and puts his hand on Shoto's shoulder.
"I can tell you need someone to talk to, whether me, a friend, or even a therapist, you need some sort of help. Come to my office if you need anything," he says, walking away. Shoto goes to class, thinking about what he said.
The things on his mind can't be shared. He knows that something will happen if others know what he went through. He doesn't know who will get hurt if that information is leaked. Would his siblings be seperated, would he have to switch schools? Bad things could happen, so he didn't go to All Might that day.
That night, he saw a firey figure shaping. Bulking and forming, it solidified into a demon, then it faded into a human. He realized what arrived here was far worse then a demon, his father; Endeavor. His firey fist slapped Shoto across the face, a red mark appearing. "You're a disappointment. Greatness doesn't come easy, TRAIN HARDER, BOY!" The mad hero said, kneeing his own son in the gut. Upon impact, Shoto woke up.
That morning, he went to visit the retired hero. He needed to talk, figuring All Might was the only person he could trust not to leak this information.
"It all started when Touya was a child. Not living up to Endeavor's expectactions, he was cast aside and replaced. Natsou and Fuyumi didn't reach his goals either, then I was born. Unlike my siblings, I had Ice and Fire quirks, meaning I was the exact reason my parents got married, a perfect combination of them. I wasn't allowed to play with Natsou or Fuyumi, especially not Touya. He was so determined to become a hero that I wasn't able to see him. Endeavor deemed all three of them bad influences and the old man beat the strength into me. He beat me to the ground and told me to get up, suggesting that was a way to improve my indurance. Eventually my mom lost her mind and tried to burn his resemblance off my face, causing this scar. Touya is now gone, my mother locked away, and that damn old man is the top hero. This isn't right. Endeavor should be locked away, but he can't be. Without you, he's the closest to a hero the people have. Shigaraki, Dabi, Spinner, Toga, and the rest of the league are still out there."
Hearing this, All Might conforted him.  He sat with Shoto, telling him he should've never had to go through that. All Might said they should report what happened, Shoto refusing and demanding All Might doesn't, who agreed.
"Those threats aren't my only worry. What if another villian reins free, like Stain? Endeavor is the best chance Japan has at beating him, or worse. That man you fought is still locked away, not dead. Even Muscular, the man who Deku told me took his hard blows is alive. Overhaul, Kirugiri, the Nomu, if they were to ever break free, Endeavor would need to be there. Hawks couldn't do what he can, I'm not even sure if you'd be able to finish some of them in your prime, but there's too much to lose if the new top hero is retired,"
Shoto had thought a lot about this. Even if his siblings didn't forgive Endeavor, even if he didn't, the nation needed him. He went home that night after talking to All Might, able to sleep at ease.
The next morning, he got a call from Endeavor's agency telling him he has permission to visit home with an escort. He asked who, then it was revealed to be 3 of Endeavour's sidekicks. They took him home, warning him Endeavor did not seem happy. Shoto walked into the front door, Endeavor giving him a cold stare. He held up his phone, now reading.
"Endeavor is an abusive father, not the kind of person we want to protect us."
He clenched his fist, giving a death glare. Steam came out of his ears and his body covered in a fire of rage.
"You bastard of a son, you've done it. I'M GONNA KILL YOU SHOTO!"
