Journey 3: Time Traveler

I remember

He visited her again, the next day after college; only this time, he was more discreet and met him as a stranger.

He did the same the next day;

And the next day;

And the day after.

Slowly, this became a part of his daily routine. He would go to college, visit her at the hospital and then go back in time to meet her.

Every day he would meet his girlfriend, a new and each day, he would fall in love with her all over again.

He was with her when she lost her grandma. He was there when she was kicked out of her first job, he even attended her graduation. He realized that in these six months he knew her better than he had known her in the two years they had been together.

He even spent many weeks helping her look for her brother who had left the house many years ago and had not contacted them since.

His only regret was that she wouldn't remember any of this later. Then one day, he got a call from the hospital saying, "Mr. Neil, Miss Olivia has woken up."

When he reached her ward, she was sitting up on her bed. Her eyes lit up as she saw him.

"Neil. I remember now" she said.

"What?" asked Neil.

"Remember when we first met I told you, I feel like we have met before, I remember everything now" she said, "I don't know how, but even before you moved to the town, I've met you many times throughout my life. I didn't remember this before, but I do now." She took a brief pause and then added "but I know what I'm saying makes no sense."

Teary-eyed Neil hugged her and said, "Actually what you're saying makes perfect sense. But let's leave all that for later. You need to rest well now and get better."
