(You) - What do you mean it left a mark!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN!?
(Medic) - Ummm... here, have a look in the mirror.
(You) - Perfect, fantastic, Just what I wanted!
(Mathias) - *in the distance* WHERE IS SHE!?
(Medic) - Ummm... Imma leave... good luck.
Mathias wasn't happy for sure. He stormed into the medical wing and looked at you with angry face.
(Mathias) - Well, well. Look at you... What have I told you about being careful?
(You) - I'm sorry... It's just that I thought-
(Mathias) - If you thought you wouldn't write something so stupid! "Surprise me" how do you even came up with it!?
(You) - I'm not a scientist you know that!? Never even thought that something like this could have happened!
(Mathias) - *sigh* At least you're still alive...
(You) - Thanks for worrying.
He murmured something under his breath and turned around to leave. You just laid down. The medic came back.
(Medic) - Well, the tests gave good results, you're free to go. I advice a day off, preferably spent in bed.
(You) - thanks doc.
After coming back to your room and laying down you thought about the whole incident. "It sure surprised me" you thought.
(You) - Stupid vending machine, how does those things even come into existance!? Or better question, how do they get their anomalous properties!?
Thrashing around in your bed and considering the existance of whole world you didn't even notice that James was standing at your doors, while they were open... how?
(James) - Yo, you all-
(You) - WoOoOoOoO James, how and when did you get here, oh my god please forget whatever you saw!
(James) - Uh, sure? But it'll be hard to forget, you looked like a fish that just got taken out of water. You know you were all wiggly woogly and all.
(You) - Do I look like a fricking fish to you?
(James) - At certain points, yes... your face does.
(You) - You want that poor chair to get cracked on you again?
As you said that you pointed at a rather miserably taped and glued wooden chair. For you this chair was a most convenient weapon in this room, as for James... It was a rather traumatizing and ominously looking tool of doom.
(James) - I don't really want myself getting nuked with that chair again... Wait, what's with your face?
And here it goes, of course he would ask about that scar. How to explain that you did something absolutely stupid without deeper thoughts about it.
(You) - Um, you see... I was experimenting and... it just... a cup of water, but hot... and it just did hippity hoppity on me out of a sudden... and you don't get anything right?
(James) - Aside from hot water I get absolutely nothing.
(You) - *sigh* I just messed up something simple, that's all there is to it... also, does it look this bad?
(James) - Um, not really. I mean, if you look at it then most people here have some scars or marks from experiments and containment failures.
If not for the helmet then there surely would be an awkward and apogletic look on his face, you were 100% certain.
(You) - *sigh* I don't know what to do James... It was my first experiment ever, and I failed it, and Mathias is furious about what I did, and-
(James) - Cut it out, no one blames you for anything, and Mathias is always furious when it comes to failures during experiments, he'll get over it in no time.
(You) - At least you're trying to cheer me up... thanks.
(James) - Anytime... so, want a candy? I happen to have some with me.
(You) - You ask a boar if it shits in the forest? Of course I want some!
And it so happened to be the usual caramels, you swore that he carries those around on purpose.
(You) - So, do you have time to stay some more?
(James) - You feel lonely?
(You) - Kind of... I mean, Mathias and Vora are nice to me but it's not this. You on the other hand feel like a real friend that I always wanted... Can I think of you that way?
(James) - Of course, I'll gladly be that friend you always wanted.
Without even thinking you hugged James, placing your head on his shoulder.
(You) - Thank you... It really means a lot to me.
(James) - Sure, so you want to hear about some keter guard duties I had?
And so the conversation continued as if there was endless time for it, yet the reality remids of itself in the most inadequate moments. Just as you and James relaxed and conversation was at it's best the radio gave off a short signal.
(James) - Oh... There seems to be something they need me for.
(You) - Oh... If you need to go then I guess it can't be helped.
(James) - But I'll be sure to come once I have some spare time... See you later (Y/N).
(You) - See you James.
And so he left, leaving you alone. You immediately pondered on what to do with yourself, it wasn't late yet, still a young hour. Perhaps you could take a stroll around the corridors, or eat something at the cafeteria. Maybe you should go to Mathias to apologize properly for your imprudence. So many thought were running through your head, but so little confidence in yourself was present. Maybe you should just lay on bed and not disturb anyone with your presence...
(You) - Ugh... I should stop thinking and worrying so much, yet how to do it when there are so many things to think about. Deadly creatures, anomalous entities able to shatter the time and space... *slap* get a hold of yourself! You're not some cry baby or a helpless and lost lamb. You need to start taking care of yourself and improve... And I'm hungry, so cafeteria it is.
And so our brave protagonist went to eat at the cafeteria, and what did she eat? I won't tell, muahahah, guess for yourself. Anyway after a short (Not really) break that I spent on important stuff (mostly, for real) I'm back with a shit short chapter that is a prelude to the rest of the shitty and not well composed story! So please remember that I'm a pretty forgetfull person I may forget about this story for a week (or a few months, depend how strong the stroke that I get is)... Just kidding, I'll try to write more frequently this time. See ya later guys!
Also, Guilty Gear is hella fun and I can't stop playing Bridget!
