JINX

Chapter Three

Agrabbah

314 A.D

He was king now and his empire stretched forth beyond the horizon, from the lowly street urchin Aladdin to Sultan Aladdin, it was such a nice and unexpected change and it was all thanks to his friend and partner the jinn

He strolled down the courtyard to his chambers, with the queen Yazzmin off on a royal retreat, he was once again free to summon the jinn as he so wished

Ensuring that his chambers were empty and locked
he pulled down his blinds and pulled the golden lamp he had so cleverly hidden in his caftan one of which the guards had failed to notice, he chuckled to himself, those fools were still as stupid as ever and it made his blood boil in excitement when he played his little pranks on them, but what else could he do after all old habits did die hard, and once a thief was always a thief.

He carefully placed the lamp on the pedestal and began the summoning of the Jinn

"Ich vey ech tombe do hassid iv ell mukshud on carpus!"

The lamp began to smoke and the air began to blow furiously despite the shut shutters, and in a burst of darkness the creature flew out of the lamp

"You have summoned me master" it snarled almost repulsed by the notion

"Indeed I did" the young sultan said grinning foolishly "you have given me more than I could ever have hoped for so I come to fill your wish"

"Really" the creature hissed out in happiness "you have decided to free me finally"

"Yes" he said

"Then do it master I can wait no longer to be free"

He began to pronounce the words to free the Jinn when the strange warnings of El-Fazoud , that odd magician that had been persecuted and killed for preaching a strange faith began to recurr in his memory

"Don't let it out boy" he raved as he was led to the chopping boards "you will doom us all, he is not what he claims to be, what ever he gives you will not last, he is not a Jinn he is the Azamath and he will doom us all he will.."

Chop

His head fell to the dogs and there was celebration
Jubilation for his death but was he right, was this thing really not what it said it was, what if he was

"You are not having second thoughts are you master" the Jinn wheezed "please have mercy on me"

All doubts were suddenly gone with this thing final plea and instantly he began to chant the unbinding spell

"Rae mtchuli nafeer est tu wohsi, nalim tu har, repulso un harldo to monsto!"

The Jinn began uncoiling itself from the lamp and soon it stood in all it's gaseous dark glory

"Finally" it howled in relief "I'm free and it's all thanks to you child, now to repay you"

"But you have already done enough" they both said together

"JINX" the demon said nastily

"What does that mean my friend?" The boy asked out of curiosity

"It means by nightfall we shall have bathed your kingdom in blood"
