Hi, bbiesss! I'm back! Love you. 💃🏻💕
Both Jimin and Jungkook were getting dressed for work. They both happened to be CEOs for two different companies. They had been dating since high school, and had gotten married 3 years ago. Jimin glanced at his husband who neatly fixed his tie.
"Ugh.. Have you seen my watch, Jiminie?" Jungkook asked, in rush. He was always in a rush.
"Yeah." Jimin gave it to him and then walked up to the mirror to fix his hair. He was feeling numb for some reason. Maybe it was that his husband was never around. Jungkook worked really late, his company was gaining recognition more rapidly. His salary had seen a hike of about 35%. Together they were making millions.Jungkook and Jimin had not made love in months! Jungkook would usually be back so late that Jimin would be asleep and Jungkook was too tired. Jimin felt guilty for being this way.
He knew it was stupid and silly. All he had to do was initiate, but for some reason it hurt emotionally. He didn't want to initiate. He felt alone. They lived in a huge house, with everything one could wish for. It was everything once Jungkook and Jimin wished for. But what was next?
Jimin sighed as he tried to fight his tears. He quickly looked down as he saw Jungkook looking at him in the mirror.
"Isn't this everything?" Jimin's conscience sneered.
"I wish." he shot back at his thought.
Both of them had seen the troubles it caused them, their family and friends for not having money. The couple was so hardworking and had sworn to "be big" someday. Now that they were, what was next? All their friends had kids or were busy travelling the world and having fun. It seemed like Jungkook was still acting on the plan of being someone. It's just the way was, when he was younger he would work till the point Jimin would have to literally drag him to bed. Jimin was going to turn 33 in a few weeks. Jungkook was 31 already. Crazy how they had been together for over a decade. 15 years together precisely and had been married for 3.
"Bye, baby. Love you." Jungkook quickly kissed Jimin's cheek from behind as he rushed out. Jimin smiled and sighed, he knew there was no point in asking him if he wanted to eat breakfast. He wasn't going to. He had to rush to work.
Jimin looked up at his reflection and all he saw was a sad lonely married man. It didn't mean that he didn't love Jungkook or ever doubted that Jungkook didn't love him. He knew his husband was pushing this hard just for them. Their happiness. But the work had gotten in the way so much, that right now Jimin would trade it all for those days when they'd be watching movies in his one bedroom apartment.
It was tiny, and they'd just have some snacks and beers as they watched their favourite shows and kissing. There was a time the two couldn't keep their hands off of each other, when their positions in the companies were 'insignificant', they'd be home early. Draw out plans on how to reach higher goals and then they'd stop!
They'd kiss, hug, cuddle, make love, be kinky. Jimin laughed sadly at his thoughts. He remembered how Jungkook and him would drink beers and talk about silly things or make weird and dirty jokes. Now all they talked while drinking some fancy wine was how work was going and where the company was heading.
The TV played how the stocks were reacting and the chips got replaced by a fancy steak. The inside jokes turned into phone calls by officials. And the nights they spent cuddling turned into sleeping facing in the opposite direction. Was this it? A tear rolled down Jimin's face. He quickly shook his head. No! It couldn't be! This was the man he loved. He loved him so much. He just craved him. His husband. His Jungkook.
Jimin wiped his tears off and went to work as well. Separately, in his own fancy car.
__________Jungkook sighed as he drove. He could see Jimin was being a little distant. Maybe it was something at work? Was he not satisfied with his work? What was it? He knew his husband's tendency to be critical of himself. He had a very strong desire to do the best he could, falling even the slightest short of his own expectations and Jimin would recoil. But he hadn't said anything. What was bothering his husband so much?
He bit his lip as he stopped at a red light. It blinked and it somehow felt like it was telling him something. He looked at the sign at the other street. 'SLOW' it read. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows.
He sighed as he thought of his pretty smile, he hadn't seen it in a long time. What was happening? Jungkook really wanted to talk to Jimin, kiss him, hold him, but he didn't have the time! He just didn't! He closed his eyes defeated.
The light turned green and he breathed out heavily as he drove.
"Come on, Jimin. Tell me what it is. " He said mentally. Begging his husband to say something. Due to work they barely talked and by the time he reached home, the day was gone. He reached his office building and the vallet took his porshe to park. Jungkook felt a little better now, at least he could be productive here. He had his whole life to talk to his husband, right?
_____Jimin was working as well but he was getting annoyed. He wasn't able to pay attention, he was feeling numb. He needed to talk Jungkook. They didn't have their whole lives ahead of them.
He glanced out of his cabin to look at two of his best friends Yoongi and Hoseok. He had known them since college, they had seen him rise to the top and were nothing but happy for him. They were the ones who danced the most at his wedding. He hadn't even talked to them in a long time. He sighed and got to share his pain with them. He needed someone to listen. Anyone. Because it seemed like Jungkook just wasn't going to.
