The Allied Powers were losing the War, and it keeps getting worse by thr days passing. The Allied powers needed to try and knock out the U.P. Fleet while they still could.
They would send nearly 800,000 Allied ships to attack the United Planets Fleets guarding their Nation. This would be a grave mistake as the U.P. had nearly 1.7 Million ships there, with about 3-4 Million more on the way by the end of the year.
The Allied powers would draw out the U.P. Fleet in hopes of destroying a good portion of it in a swift and brutal Battle.
The battle takes 2 days to finish, and nearly 362,000 U.P. Ships are destroyed, while 279,000 Allied ships are destroyed. This was a massive blow to a Navy alright, but not to the U.P. Navy... the Allied Navy took a heavy beating, and lost almost 1/3 of their ships.
Heavy Industries of the Allied powers were now targeted. The United Planets now showed no more mercy, and the Allied powers were to blame.
The Xiophorph Republic, Spiro Republic and Taralin Republic all sign a peace treaty with the United Planets, in which their punishment wasn't really a punishment... rather to spare the Alliance they had before the War.
The Axis forces had to accept this, as they themselves rely on the U.P. for Resources.
