How I awoke

Hi! I'm Kokichi Oma. I am a employee at Good Deeds Café. You're probably wondering how and why I'm working instead of causing chaos as a phantom theif or whatever. Well, this happened about 3-5 months ago. Let me tell you this story from the start.

I wake up in a hospital bed, not understanding why I was there. Then, a doctor comes into the room, completely freezing seeing me. Confused, I asked her, "Hello ma'am, are you ok? You seem like you saw your dead great grandmother."

She finally blinked and walked toward me.
"Hello, Oma. It's good to see you are alive and well"

Well, I wasn't well at all. Pain went through my legs, arms, back, chest- basically everywhere.

She continued, "Well, you might feel some achings, since you are in a hospital" She probably was trying to lighten the mood with a joke, because she chuckled softly. Well it didn't work 'cause I took it seriously.

With a blank stare, I ask, "What happened? Why am I here? Who even are you?"

She sighed, "Please address me as Miss Taikeni"
As I was about to repeat my two other questions, she answered for me.

"The reason you're here is because.. um.." She paused. "You were in a killing game..."

Uneased, I was desperate to know more. "What do you mean?"
In supsense, I waited for her to find the write words for the answer.

"It wasn't real ,of course. That has been against the law after a school made students suffer from it only a few years ago" A tear fell from her eye. "In fact, the survivors are now orphans, but nobody has heard from them... Either way they have nothing to do with you."

I felt bad for those people hearing this story. But if the game was now illegal, how was I in it? I didn't remeber anything. Even more desperate to know what was the truth, I questioned "If I was in a killing game, but it wasn't real, why am I in a hospital?"

Seeing her bright eyes drop into sadness, she answered, "It was a VR game. But when they broke the building in the game, the power was so strong it set a force around the building, allowing it to collaspe. You 'died' before that, so you were going to be unplugged from the game. Something went wrong and they decided to wait until the game finished. So you sat there, asleep. The games seem faster than you think, so it was only 6 hours after the building started to collaspe. When it did, you were forgotten. Everyone else escaped. Except you"

Finishing her explanation, she stopped allowing me to take in this information.
Was I really forgotten?
With mixed emotions of rage and unhappiness, I glared at the window.

There was a loongg silence.

"Society, huh?" I speak, ending the akward, quiet atmosphere.
Miss Taikeni looked at me and shook her head in disagreement.

"Society isn't the best. But it isn't the worst. Afterall, we all are human. Just because society is clumsy and sometimes can be a jerk, doesn't mean you should hate it."

Those words..
She told me something that made me think. I really don't remeber anything about the world, so I guess she was right.

Miss Taikeni got my attention again, and spoke.
"I will run a few test. I'm going to call an assistant to help. You may want to rest while we do this, otherwise you can be given some laughing gas and a shot specifically to make you sleep"

I stared at her, shook my head as a signal "no", closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

I HOUR LATER

Waking up, there I see the assistant docter with a wheelchair and Miss Taikeni with her clipboard. She seemed kinda sad, despite the overflowing postive aura coming from her. Widening my eyes, I see the TV screen turn on.
"Hello Oma, I see you have waken up. Relax while we explain."

Honestly, I was beyond relaxed.

Motioning to the screen, "So as you can see, this is the nervous system. When you were well, forgotten, we assume a big rock hit your back bone." Pausing herself, she looked toward my legs. They were numb, so I didn't feel anymore pain. "And well, it damaged your nervous system, and aswell as fractured your bone. But the nervous systems is what we are worried about. It took so much damged that the spinal cord was disconnected with your leg muscles. So now you can't uhm... walk. But its not pernament. There is a chance to let it heal on its own, so we must thank atua for such a miracle"

Those words shot me hard. Does this mean I cannot walk anymore? I don't remeber the outside, so how will I explore. Will windows be my way to explore?
My shaky voice asked, "I-Is there an-nything you guy-ys ca-an do to sp-peed the-e process?"

My sore eyes stared at them. The mood was like a star dieing, getting its solor system colder and darker.

However, the assistant eyes went up and he whispered in the Miss Taikeni's ears. Her eyes lit up in joy before I even knew it, and exclaimed, "Kyi, your such a genius! Since its your idea, maybe you announce this to him."

Nodding, he looked to me "Good morning, or almost good afternoon Oma. I'm Mr. Rita, but my full name is Kyi Dasahi Rita. And I think I have a solution for you."

Intrigued, I listened.

"Maybe walking therapy would work for you? It will get your legs used to standing and moving"

Therapy, aye? If it boosts my chances on walking, running, and standing again, I guess I could go.

"OK. I'll take the therapy"

"That's great! Hopefully you'll get better soon!"

And after that, a knew thought entered my mine. Right before they left, I called out, "Hey! Hold on!"

Stopping, both look at me.
"Is something wrong?" Miss Taikeni called back.

"Is there a way I can watch what happened, to regain memories from the game...?"

".... hmm... Yea- Yes I guess so! Mr. Rita, could you get the videos?" Miss Taikeni said. Rita nodded and left to get the recorded videos saved to a chip.

I was so eager to remeber everything. But also scared.
What did everyone treat me like? Was I fun? Did people enjoy my company? What was the killing game like? Man.. if only I wasn't hit by a stupid rock. Godammit. What if-

My thoughts were inturupted by the door loud creaking sound.

"Here it is! I'll connect them to the TV so you can watch them."

"ah! Thank you so much Mr. Rita!" Miss Taikeni said.

Connecting them to the TV, I stare at it waiting to turn on.

"Thats it, we'll get going now." And just like that I was alone
watching these alone. Atleast the light was on.

After watching..

"I can't believe it.."
I was so.. hated. I was a villian. I was evil. I was...
The Ulitimate Supreme Leader.
I was so furious. I felt despair enter my emotions. All I knew is that anyone named Shuichi Saihara was my enemy. All I knew was that he and he only hurt me the most. He was the one who told me I was alone.

Always alone. Always and forever.

And that leads us to the present day! I work to pay the hospital. I pay them so they pay my bills I can't afford. So does the company that caused my injury. They donate.

Anyways now that you heard my story, you can seem me work!

I looked at the door, waiting to take the next order.

*ring, ring*

I heard the bells ring. I look to see who it is and I immediately recognize them. It was...
