It was a Monday morning, the first week of summer vacation.

Peter woke up with a groan. He squinted his eyes letting them get used to the light. As soon he remembered that there is no school he immediately shoots out of bed. A big smile makes his way onto his face as he remembers what happened the day before.

~Flashback~

"Are you sure you want me to do this?" Clint whispered to the young boy beside him, smirking. Peter and Clint were currently in the vents and were trying to see who could frustrate Steve the most. They knew that it wasn't easy to make him frustrated.

It was Clint's turn first and he had decided to spray paint and put glitter all of Cap's shield. Peter knew for a fact that wouldn't work because he had done it before. Apparently Clint thought his idea was genius so he made sure to ask if Peter was ready to lose.

Peter rolled his eyes, encouraging the archer to continue. So Clint slid out of the vents and landed right next to where Steve set his shield. He sprayed it all orange and put glitter and stickers on it. Then he scrambled back up to the vents, snickering slightly as he positioned himself in the perfect position to see the look on Steve's face.

Thirty minutes later, Steve walked in to find his shield covered in orange paint. He shrugged and went to his safe to pull out his real shield. Clint watched in horror as Cap went out. 

"Steve never leaves his shield out in the open." Peter said sneaking backwards towards his room. Clint glared at him playfully. "It's your turn, what are you going to do that makes you so confident?" He asked, genuinely curious. Peter smiled widely, "I'm going to beat him at his own game, running." He said happily.

~End Flashback~

Peter knew that Sam and Steve leaves at 4 am in the morning so he had asked FRIDAY to wake him up at 3:15 in the morning. Once he got up, changed, and went down stairs he saw both of the men up and starting to leave. "Wait for me!" He called, making them stop and look at him. "You want to join us Pete?" Steve said while Sam smiled in amusement. Peter nodded his head excitedly and they all left the tower.

Once they got there they started to run around the big fountain in the middle of the park. Sam obviously running slower because he wasn't a superhuman groaned every time the other two passed him.

(I kind of rushed from here...Sorry)

Now it was time for Peter to show up Steve. He gradually got faster until he was running as fast as a race car. Sam was just staring at both of them watching as they competed against each other. Watching as Peter slowly got faster than Steve. He was confused to say the least.

Steve was panting by this point and stopped by Sam who had taken a break. They both stared at Peter, mouths open as he ran super fast (Peter was having to time of his life btw).

After about 30 minutes Peter stopped and they all headed home. Steve was muttering to himself, trying to convince himself that Peter did not just run that fast. Sam was surprised but he was happy that Steve got beat at his own game.

At 8am they arrived at the tower and everyone was in the kitchen making breakfast. Steve, frustrated that he got beat by a kid, pushed past everyone and went to his room where he contemplated his life. Sam chuckled and grabbed some water. Peter went to the fridge and took out some chocolate milk while every one was staring at the doorway Steve had just went through.

Clint looked at Peter who had a small smirk on his face and immediately knew what he had done. "You actually did it?!" He said loudly. Peter nodded still finishing his milk. The others were confused so Clint explained what happened.

Soon everyone was laughing or smiling in Natasha's case until Steve came down. Then they started to laugh harder. Steve frowned and rolled his eyes as he went to get breakfast. "Kids.." he said, slightly amused. Then he said something only Peter and Bucky could hear. Something that made Peter smile for the rest of the week.

"That kid is awesome."
