Author's POV Anirudh and Bondita are walking through the footpath for more or less 2 hrs.
"Are you tired Bondita?"
"No. Rather feeling good."
When they started their journey, Anirudh thought Bondita is silent like a girl, so maybe he has to pass the time by talking. But after starting talking he realize Bondita's name should be added in .......world record book as the most talkative lady. The wind is blowing softly. A little cloud is seen. Maybe the rain will come or not. Nowadays this sky's behavior like 'Debdash', morning is shiny then the afternoon is rainy.
"Bondita 1 min, wait."
Anirudh gets 2 packets of nut from the street seller.
"Ani da have you breakfast?"
"No"
"What?"
"Today is the weekend that's why our breakfast time 8 am and I come at 6 am."
"Omg...then you should take breakfast first. Otherwise gastric, ulcer... "
"That's why I don't want to come anywhere with a doctor. OK take this nut and after 10 mins we will get some street shop."
Near New Market, in Dharmatama they have their breakfast. Not they Anirudh, Bondita was offered but she doesn't take. Again they started to walk. They were crossing the road. But suddenly, at the mid-way time is out and along with green light, all Vehicle started to run. Anirudh has the experience to overcome. But Bondita.....Anirudh can understand that she is getting afraid. Anirudh holds her hand tightly. And by showing hands try to cross. Bondita is feeling hesitated but looking at Anirudh when she has crossed with him doesn't notice.
"We have crossed! If I was alone then only Dugga ma knows what will happen."
"Ha ha ha....nothing. That's why your Dugga ma sends me to teach you. With time you will learn all. And then forget the root."
"No, never. I'm not like others that I'll forget from where I come."
Anirudh doesn't go to an argument about this matter. He is experienced by Soudamini. So no need to recall those days, just time waste. Again this talkative lady starts to talk.
"Wait I'm coming with the ticket."
After entering Bondita looks wonder.
"Wow!!! I saw and read about it in my book. You know this is the 1st time I have come somewhere to visit. I never go outside Tulshipur except for this Kolkata city and after coming it's my 1st time. Thanks, Ani da, thanks a lot."
Being so happy when she hold Anirudh's hand doesn't notice. The whole day they pass their time in this Victoria memorial.
"5 pm....closing time. So we need to go."
"Hmm.....I think we need to go fast as the sky is covered by a deep black cloud, the heavy wind is blowing, rain may come."
They fast come outside. And try to get a taxi. But bad luck, no taxi will go to their office. Finding no way they started to walk. And again bad luck heavy rain started. They take shelter in a shaded place between two shops. In this narrow place, there are almost 10-12 male people. Anirudh and Bondita get almost wet. Her shared has become a little transparent for wetting. Some part of her body is visible. It's also realized by Bondita and also realized that some of them are looking at her in a bad sense. Suddenly Anirudh notices her situation. They are on a corner site of that place. Bondita is in front of Anirudh. Anirudh pushes her in his back by holding her arm. Bondita gets afraid. Anirudh turns to her.
"Now you are safe. No one can see you. And don't get afraid."
Their distance is so little that they can feel their body touch and can count their breath. Being eye contract, Bondita down her face down. Anirudh still looks at her. Actually last night he feels something for Bondita. Yesterday he can't see her. But the whole day he was missing her, wanted to talk with her.
"Ani da? Maybe rain is stopped."
"Maybe. Let's go office 1st then I'll drop you in your hostel."
The whole city is lighted with neon light. Still, rain is going on, but 1-2 drop. Heavy wind is blowing. Her share has dried. Anirudh looks at her. She is busy controlling her disobedient hairs. Under this neon light, she has possessed another beauty. Thinking about her when they come into their office don't notice. After dropping her, Anirudh comes back to Roy Choudhary Mansion.
(2 years later, afternoon)
Anirudh is waiting for Bondita n his office room. Not only to see her but to say something that he realizes the last 2 years. How many times he wants to tell about his feelings, but failed. Now after Monorama Bondita is his best friend. By seeing his eyes, she can what he needs except the love for her. She may think it's friendship love, care but to Anirudh, it's more than that.
"Som, still Bondita hasn't come."
"No, Dada"
Anirudh can't Wait anymore. He calls her over the phone. But switch stop.
"Som, Did she say anything to you last day? Her phone is switch stop."
"No, Dada. She just said the next day she has a class test. Maybe she is studying. But she is not careless to inform us about that she can't come."
"Then any problem? Should we go to her hostel as she has no guardian in this city?"
"I think so."
Anirudh and Som come her hostel. But it's a lady hostel. They can't enter. Though some of her hostel mates know them as Bondita's friend.
"Anirudh Dada, you. " Bondita's roommate.
"Can you call Bondita?"
"Sorry, Dada. Today in the morning a call has come. And she left the hostel. After that, I can't connect with her."
"Has she said anything, where she is going?"
"She just said urgent and will come in the afternoon but now evening."
Anirudh looking tensed. Any problem!!! Or a dangerous thing!!
"Dada please remain cool. We have to handle this."
They don't know her permanent address or Phone number. Only they can Wait now.
Two days have gone by. No call or any information about Bondita has come. Anirudh looking for her madly. Within these 2 days, he has searched possible areas of this city. But failed. No call has come from her house. If she is in the house then she will inform him. In these 2 days doesn't she get time to call Anirudh? Then where is Bondita??
