Izuku Tatsuma: the dragon hero

2: entrance exam

Izuku POV
*beep**beep**beep*
I was woken by the sound of my alarm. As I sat up in my bed the sound of birds singing in the forest surrounding my rural home drifted into my room.
"Izuku, it's time to get u-. Oh I see you're already up." My mother, the dragon hero: Ryukyu, said as she saw me listening happily to the music of the birds mating song.
"Morning mum." I say with a joy filled voice.
"I hope you remember what today is." Mom said as walked over and closed my window.
"The UA entrance exam right?" I asked my mum.
"Of course you would remember. You love heroes more than... well everything." She said as she let out a chuckle.
"Well it's not just because I love heroes.  I also remembered because it's UA. The best hero school in all of Japan." I yell the last sentence to place emphasis on it. Me and mum let out a small laugh as mum ran her fingers through my green fluffy hair.
"Stop it!" I yelled, however the yell was drowned out by my laughter as I push mum's hand off of my head.
"Ok." Mum said as she jokingly crossed her arms, only resulting in more laughter form the two of us.
"Well meet me in the kitchen once your ready." Mom said as she left my room
*at the kitchen table*
"Wow breakfast looks fabulous, mom!" I say as I walk into the kitchen.
"Thanks, Izuku. You look nice in your uniform." Mom said as she passed me my food.
"Thanks mom." I said as I dug into my breakfast.
"I still can't believe you decided to do the normal exam instead of the recommended exam. I would have jumped at the chance if I were you." Mom said as she started to eat her own breakfast.
"Well I want the to take the same test as most of the other people. Plus me and Kacchan have agreed to help each other and form a plan to get into class 1-A together once we know what the test will be." I explain my reasoning as to why I chose not to take the recommended exam.
"You make some good points." Mom said as she continued to shove food down her throat.
"Well I'm going to start making my way to school." I say as I get up and put my empty plate in the sink.
"Ok Izuku I'll see you later." My mum said as she waved me goodbye. As I stepped out the door the light from the sun shot through the trees and landed directly on my face. To help shield my eyes from the glow I moved one of my large black wings over my face instead of the normal method of a hat. The reason I choose not to use a hat is because of my charcoal coloured ram like horns always making them fall off of my head.

3rd person POV
Our dragon boy friend was walking up to the large entrance to the best hero school of Japan, UA, when he spotted the ash blonde boy named Bakugou Katsuki just in front of him.
"Kacchan!" Izuku called out as he sped up his pace from a walk to a light jog.
"Izuku, good to see you!" Bakugou said as he turned to face his green haired friend only to see him start to fall onto his face.
"Wouldn't want that to happen." Katsuki said as he grabbed the back of Izuku's blazer to prevent him from flopping face first onto the concrete floor.
"T-thanks Kacchan." Izuku said still shocked that he almost fell face first onto the ground.
"What's with the stuttering Izuku?" The ash blonde asked.
"Just shocked that I almost died." The dragon boy said resulting in a good laugh from the pair.
*time skip*
The wannabe UA students had just finished the 3 hour written exam and were now about to have the practical exam explained.
"Can I get a 'YEAH'!" Present Mic called out as he ran onto the stage.
"Yeah!" The duo of Izuku and Bakugou yelled out. The loud speaker of a hero shed a small tear of joy and whispered,
"thank you" in a more quiet voice than normal. This small display of gratitude made the duo share a small chuckle. Midway through Mic's explanation a boy with blue hair and glasses stood up.
"Yes?" Mic asked.
"You have only explained 3 robots, however on the sheet you handed out show that there are 4. If this is a mistake on UA's part I am disappointed. Also you two the ones with the blonde hair and green hair stop talking. It's distracting all of us!" The boy said waving his hands around like a robot.
"Oh, so you want to talk about distractions. We are not the ones getting up and interrupting Present Mic!" Izuku yelled out angrily.
"Also if you want to mention the talking we were discussing a strategy because, unlike you, I have someone who wants to help me become a better person and hopefully a hero in the future. I mean who would want to work with someone who yells at them for discussing a strategy." Bakugou added.
"I'll have you know I am the brother of pro hero ingenium so I know I have to follow the rules." Iida yelled back with shaking legs.
"Ok and I'm the son of the dragon hero: Ryukyu, so you can shut up with that 'I am the brother of pro hero ingenium' point like if contributions something to this conversation and just sit down so Present Mic can finish talking!" Izuku retaliated. The rest of the explanation went on with out any other interruptions. The students were all prepared to rush into the fake city. The gate slowly started to open when Izuku and Bakugou flew into the city, Izuku with his wings and Bakugou with his explosions, and some got mad as they waited.
"Why did no one stop them." One girl with pink skin said.
"Why are you waiting? There's no count down in life." Mic said over the speaker. The students, realising their mistake, rushed in only to see small craters in the ground and walls as well as small fires, ice spikes and fading spots of lightning. Among the damage was almost 100 smashed robot remains.
"How strong are those two!?" A yellow haired boy yelled as his jaw dropped. As he said that a large swarm of at least 60 robots, most being 2 point robots, appeared from around the corner.
"Get back!" Izuku yelled as he jumped down from a roof with Bakugou not far behind. The others ran back in fear of the powerful duo. They all noticed Izuku's normally forest green hair hand changed to an ice blue colour as he fell as well as his sink being covered in charcoal black scales. A dim blue light was shining out from under his scales.
"Team move: frost storm!" The duo yelled as a large slab of ice formed almost instantly and was just as quickly shattered by a large explosion. The sharp shards of ice rained down on the swarm of robots, destroying most but not all of them.
"Fuck, they aren't all down!" Bakugou yelled.
"I can see that!" Izuku yelled back. Bakugou shot him self over to Izuku to discuss a plant as the robots dashed to them. The other students were long gone to get some points for themselves. The duo decided on a team move they called 'flame drill' an attack were Bakugou uses his explosions to quickly spin Izuku as well as pushing him off of the ground and move him through the air. As Bakugou would do this Izuku would form a tent in front of them and produce a large amount of fire. Because they were spinning the flames would form a large spiral around them, shredding anything in the duo path at the same time as burning it. As the robots were about to attack them the heard a yell.
"Team move: flame drill!" Just after the duo yelled this the damage to the almost army of robots could be called a massacre. Meanwhile in the observation room the teachers were shocked at the power and team work of the duo.
"Well this is new." Nezu said as he took a sip of his tea.
"How are they so good with their quirks!?" Asked the 18+ hero: Midnight.
"Tatsuma is the son of Ryukyu and by the looks of things him and Bakugou are good friends so they probably train with Ryukyu." Aizawa said as he got out of his yellow caterpillar like sleeping bag. It was nearly the end of the test and Izuku and Bakugou were sitting on a roof as they looked of more robots when they felt the ground start to shake.
"Izuku, what's that?" Bakugou asked, however before he got an answer the building collapsed because of a large robot with a 0 on its shoulder.
"I guess that's the 0 pointer." Izuku said as he grabbed Bakugou. The two of them were about to run until they heard a yell of pain and then one for help.
"Fuck! Help!" Was heard by the duo as they landed next a pile of rubble. They moved the debris to reveal a girl with purple hair and earphone jacks.
"Who are you?" The girl asked.
"I'm Tatsuma and that's Bakugou." Izuku said as he picked the girl up at the same tame as bakugou hopped into his back. Tatsuma then flew the girl to a safe roof. Izuku and Bakugou then rushed back to the base of the large 0 pointer.
"Special moves?" Bakugou questioned.
"Special moves." Tatsuma confirmed. The two of them them leaped high into the air.
"Elemental Tempest!/Howitzer Impact!" The pair yelled at the top of their lungs as explosions, bolts of lightning, large slabs of ice and flames were all shot at the robot. As the smoke cleared, shocks of lightning fades, the flames ceased to linger and the crumbling ice fell to the ground the duo slowly walked like they were in an action movie Present Mic called out over the speakers that the exam had finished. Izuku and Katsuki then went back to check up on the girl they had saved.
"You ok?" Izuku said as he landed and Katsuki jumped off of his back.
"Yeah I think so, but my leg really hurts. I'm Jiro by the way. I don't think I said that." The now known as Jiro said as she held her leg in pain.
"Ok Jiro I'm going to take you to Recovery Girl's office." Izuku said as he placed Jiro on his back. Jiro blushed at this.
*time skip*
It had been an hours at this point and Jiro was just waking up as she had passed out after Recovery Girl healed her leg.
"How long was I out?" Jiro said drowsily as she sat up.
"About an hour." Izuku said.
"Thanks...Tatsuma?" Jiro thanked the boy.
"Yup that's me, Izuku Tatsuma!" Izuku said proudly.
"You and the blonde haired boy are the ones who yelled at the blue haired boy." Jiro said.
"Again, yes and the 'blonde haired boy' is Bakugou, but I call him Kacchan." Izuku explained.
"Wait you and him are the ones who destroyed that swarm of robots." Jiro said shocked at the power of the boy.
"Again again, yes! Three out of three! Good job." He said as he gave her a thumbs up. As he did this Jiro let out a chuckle. Jiro then noticed his headphones.
"Do you listen to music?" Jiro asked.
"Of course I listen to music. I love music. It's one of the best things in existence itself!" Izuku proudly proclaimed.
"Who do you listen to?" Jiro asked.
"Mostly: Tom Macdonald, Nova Rockafeller, AJR, Alec Benjamin and Twenty one pilots." He listed.
"Who do you like?" He asked.
"Deep dope and one ok rock." Jiro said.
"I haven't heard of most of the people you listed. Do you mind if you show me one of them?" She asked.
"Ok! But don't get mad if I sing along." Izuku said as he got his phone and some headphones out of his bag.
"I won't get mad... if you're good." Jiro said as she put one of the headphones.
"So what and who are we going to listen to?" The purple haired girl asked.
"Drama by AJR." He said as he put the song on.

"That's a good song. I like it." Jiro said as she gave a thumbs up.
"Also you can sing really well. I'm impressed." Jiro said as she began typing something into the green haired boy's phone.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"And now you have my number." Jiro said with a smile as she gave him back his phone.
"T-thanks." He said shocked.
"Ok you are allowed to go home now." Recovery Girl said as she walked into the room.
"Thank you." Jiro said as she left. Just after Izuku left the room.
