"C'mon! Please!"

"No, man. Sorry, we're not gonna go against the top three."

You sighed and walked out of the cafeteria, leaving all the guys you were harassing to their meals. By now, more teams had made it to the fourth stage, and yet, every single one had declined your offer to play against yours. You were so, so bored.

Since no one accepted, all you could do was train, but you just wanted to play

Resigned, you dragged yourself back to your team's dorm. This seriously sucked, you knew Bachira wanted to wait for Isagi to reach stage four to play his team, but you didn't know how long you could survive like this.

When you swung open the door to the room, you were greeted with the sight of Bachira and Isagi excitedly shaking hands. Huh. Looks like your prayers were answered.

"Isagi? Finally got to the fourth stage?" you asked as you sat down on you bed.

He nodded, "Yeah. Me and Bachira just agreed to a match with your team."

Bachira lifted a thumbs-up and you leaned back on your elbows, "Who's on your team now?"

"Barou, Chigiri, and Nagi."

"Sounds good. Should be a fun match." You couldn't lie, that'd be interesting to watch. Even just Barou and Nagi themselves seem like they'd butt heads on multiple levels.

"Yeah," he smiled, "but it's weird competing against each other."

"Ah, hopefully it'll be different in the third selection," Bachira piped in.

"I'll go get Rin and Tokimitsu to go input their acceptance. They'll probably be just as relieved as I am that we finally found a goddamn opponent." You lifted yourself off the bed and waved them a quick goodbye before shutting the door behind you.

Ego should really consider decorating these fucking halls. Maybe Anri, she probably has better taste in interior design than some guy that brought a pigeon inside just for it to shit on him.

Considering that Rin is Rin, he was probably on the practice field. You doubt that there's another other way he knows how to spend his time.

When you pushed open the entrance, there was no shock value at all to seeing exactly what you expected. "We finally got a match, we have to go hit that stupid button thing," you called out to him.

He shot the ball he had in front of him into the goal before walking over to you, not cleaning up at all. "Are you going to go or just stand there?" he asked once he stopped in front of you.

"Shut up." You turned around and headed back down the halls, destined for the weight room, where you hoped Tokimitsu would be. Rin stayed silent from behind you, not that you guys had much to talk about after the other night, really.

You pushed the door open with your shoulder, it was surprising heavy, glancing ahead of you to survey the room. The nervous wreck was seated at the bench press, wiping his face down with a towel. "Tokimitsu!" you yelled out to him.

You and Rin watched from the doorway as he nearly fell off his seat, "Ah! [Su-]," he cleared his throat frantically, "Kazuma! You scared me!"

Your hand scratched the back of your neck awkwardly, you really never had any idea of how to respond to him, "Right, yeah," you laughed uneasily. "We just gotta go accept our next match, if that's cool with you."

"Sure!" He gathered his water bottle and towel before meeting you and Rin and the entrance. While you guys walked to the main room for the second selection, you briefly wondered how long this whole Blue Lock thing would go on for. You hadn't seen sunlight in weeks. Maybe you'll mutate into a vampire by the fifth stage.
