The summer breeze drifted along the neighborhood street, cicadas buzzing in the mid-afternoon sunlight. A group of children happens to be exiting what seems like a convenience store.
As the children gathered around each other, a green-haired child, no older than four, ripped a card packet. His viridian eyes shone bright with joy, for he had just unpacked a limited edition shiny holographic All Might card!
The rarest, most desired hero trading card in japan! How can he be so lucky? As the child's green eyes filled with joy, he heard noises from the person by his side.
Katsuki Bakugo, an ash-blonde boy with explosive hair and a personality to match, correspondingly unpacked the same card as the viridian-eyed child.
The moss-headed kid looked at his Pomeranian friend and smiled at him, "We both got All Might, Kacchan!" He declared, showing his own card to his friend.
Kacchan only scoffed and waved a dismissive hand, "Yeah, yeah, whatever, Deku," He said, completely disregarding his best friend.
"Of course, I get the better one, though!" He grinned, showing off his version of the limited edition All Might card. Sure, it was shinier, but that doesn't mean they don't match. It was luck that kacchan got a shinier-looking card, but he also got an All Might card. That doesn't mean disregarding him is okay.
"But we both got an All Might card, Kacchan, "the freckled child protested. Kacchan only scoffed again, "What of it, Deku? I still got a shinier card, that means I'm a hundred percent more better than you or anyone else!" Katsuki raised his fist and threatened to hit the young moss-head who flinched away from him.
The other juvenile youth backed up their blonde leader, throwing out insults and names at the young "Deku." The viridian eyes of the child grew watery from the taunts, and his lips wobbled in fear, "That's not nice, you guys," He mumbled while bowing his head and bending his shoulders inward to make himself look even smaller.
"Tch, crybaby." Said kacchan while he and his other friends walked away from the crying form of Izuku Midoriya, the viridian eyed-child, the moss-head, the quirkless freak that everyone seems to hate, pity, and, or, spite.
Why was the world so cruel to him? Why was he a "Freak"? He didn't ask to be like this.
He didn't want this to have happened. It was just bad luck, that was it, bad luck! He got the short end of the straw; he wasn't a freak - he was just unlucky. It wasn't his fault, he promised. Mama said she was sorry, but it wasn't her fault either. So he wonders, who's to blame?

Static noises filled the enclosed space he sat in, "Do you see him?" A modulated voice asked, coming from his radio. "Yeah, I see the target." He replied as he fixed his mask.
"Do what you will," The voice behind his walkie-talkie said.
"Roger."
'Twas the middle of summer, heat so extreme it practically boiled the asphalt on the road. A white, totally legit van moved out of an alley a few meters away from their target.
A person inside the white, totally legit, not creepy and suspicious, van fixed his mask; it was an Endeavor plastic mask you could get for 200 yen at a side shop by the road. But their boss said it was okay, so who's he to complain?
The vehicle rumbled around the corner, and he spotted their target. The target stood beside the road, tears leaking from their expressive green eyes.
He rolled the door open and readied his quirk, the van moving at a reasonable speed. He peeked at the open door and saw the child looking at him with surprised eyes.
