Chapter 2

Mom Tiger: Daniel Tiger come here
Daniel Tiger What it mom it is very important i have go to Pride Rock.
Dad Tiger: Your sister said her first word.
Daniel Tiger: What do She say?
Dad Tiger: Margaret Tell Him
Margaret Tiger: b b b Brother.
Daniel Tiger: Mom,Dad you heard that she say Brother
Mom Tiger: Yeah Daniel Tiger We heard.
(Daniel Tiger hug his sister)
Dad Tiger:So what are you going to Pride Rock for?
Daniel Tiger: Well Simba and Nala went keep eye their daughter
Mom Tiger: Oh okay you go now
Daniel Tiger: Okay love Mom,Dad,and Margaret.
(Daniel Tiger leave his house and go to Pride Rock)
The scene transitions to Pride Rock in the afternoon. Kiara, now a cub, bounds to the edge of Pride Rock and overlooks the savanna, panting with excitement.]
Kiara:Wow! [Kiara starts to bound down Pride Rock.]
Simba:Whoa! [Simba catches Kiara by her scruff and lifts her back onto Pride Rock.]
Kiara:giggles mischievously* [Kiara tries to bound away, but Simba stops her with a paw.]
Simba:Where do you think you're going in such a hurry?
Kiara:grunts* [Simba lifts Kiara into the air.] Daddy! *giggles* [Simba sets Kiara onto her stomach.] Let go!
Simba: Well, I just want you to be careful.
Kiara:*growls* [Kiara jumps at a butterfly.] Rah! [Simba steps on Kiara's tail. She tries to jump, only to fall.]
Simba:Kiara, are you listening? Accidents can happen. [Kiara sits up.] You could easily get hurt or stepped–
Kiara: hurt or stepped on or even get lost.
Simba:And remember, [Simba steps off Kiara's tail.] I want you to stay in sight of Pride Rock at all times.
Kiara:At all times. I know. [Kiara stands.] And if I see any strangers, don't talk to them. [Kiara mimicks walking.] Come straight home. Okay, okay. Can I go now? [Kiara grins.] Please?
Simba:Hmm. [Nala sits next to Simba.] Very funny.
Nala:*chuckles* Mind your father, Kiara.
Kiara:giggles* Yes, Mom.
Daniel Tiger: Hey Simba,hey Nala sorry i late i was happy because my sister said her first word today.
Simba: Your sister first word.
Daniel Tiger: Yeah That Right
Simba: Good You and Kiara need stay away from the Outlands.
Daniel Tiger:the Outlands? Simba What inside the Outlands?
Zazu: [Zazu swoops past Simba and Nala.] Well Daniel Tiger Nothing there but a bunch of backstabbing, murderous [Zazu lands next to Kiara.] Outsiders.
Simba:Zazu's right Daniel Tiger. [Simba looks over one shoulder.] You can't turn your back on them.
Kiara: Really? How come?
Simba:Never mind. [Simba gestures with his head.] You and Daniel Tiger. Just run along now.
Kiara: But Dad, I--
Simba:You'll understand someday. Go on.
Kiara:[Kiara walks toward Simba.] Dad... [Kiara nuzzles against Simba's leg.] *purrs* [Simba rubs the top of Kiara's head with a paw. She,and Daniel Tiger bounds away and starts clambering down Pride Rock.]
Simba:[anxiously] And stay on the path I've marked for you!
Nala:*chuckles* Simba, who does she remind you of? Hmm?
Simba:Huh? [Simba looks at Nala.] What? Who?
Nala:She's just like you were when you were young. [Nala nuzzles Simba's chin.]
Simba:Exactly. Do you realize the dangers we put ourselves in? [Nala pins Simba to the ground.] *grunts*
Nala: You mean the dangers YOU put us in.
Simba:*chuckles*
Simba and Nala:Nala nuzzles Simba.] *purrs*
Nala:*chuckles* They'll be fine one day. She will respect Daniel Tiger's little Sister just as you respect  Daniel Tiger.[Nala strides toward the interior of Pride Rock. She smiles at Simba over one shoulder.]
Simba:Hey, Timon! [Simba gestures with his head.] Pumbaa! C'mere!
Timon:[Timon sits astride Pumbaa's mane. They look over their shoulders and stride toward Simba.] Good morning, mon capitán!
Simba: I want you to keep a close watch on Kiara and Daniel Tiger. You know them bound to run off.
Timon: No worries, Simba. We're on them like stink on a warthog!
Pumbaa: Hey!
Timon: It's the hard truth, Pumbaa. Live with it.
Simba: You guys, I'm counting on you. [Simba looks left and right.] Danger could be lurking behind every rock.
Timon:Ah-ha. [Timon looks left.] Hmm! [Timon looks right.] Hmm! Hmm... [Timon and Pumbaa depart.]

[The scene transitions to the open savanna. Pride Rock is in the distance. Kiara chases a butterfly through the fields.]

Daniel Tiger Kiara Wait up.
[Kiara jumps at the butterfly.] Rah! Hey! Wait! Come back! [Kiara bats at the butterfly.] *growls* [Kiara jumps at the butterfly.] I just wanna play! [Kiara jumps again and again at the butterfly.] *grunts* Ah... [Kiara crouches in the grass.] Mighty hunter...has cornered her prey. [Kiara stalks the butterfly, which has alighted on a rock.] *growls* [Kiara pounces, and the butterfly flies off.] Ah! [Kiara peers over the edge of the rock.] Huh? [Kiara clambers onto the rock, surveying the Outlands.] Whoa. [Kiara sits.] Cool! The Outlands! I wonder what's out there. [Something stalks Kiara in the grass. A twig snaps. She turns.] *screams*
Timon:[Timon and Pumbaa emerge from the grass.] *screams*
Pumbaa:*screams*
Kiara:*screams*
Timon:*screams*
Pumbaa:*screams*
Kiara, Pumbaa, and Timon:*screams*

Daniel Tiger: What With Scream?
Kiara:[Kiara backs away and falls off the edge of the rock into the water below.] *yelps*
Pumbaa:[Timon and Pumbaa race to the edge of the rock. Timon hops off Pumbaa's snout.] Oooh! Don't worry, Kiara! Uncle Pumbaa's [Pumbaa jumps into the water.] comin'!
Timon:Oh, no! Oh! Uh... Uh... Let's see, uh... [Timon pretends to talk to Simba.] "Gee, Simba. The good news is, we found your daughter. The bad news is, we dropped a warthog on her. [Timon clasps his hands nervously.] Is there a problem with that?"
Pumbaa:[Pumbaa sits in the water, with bubbles around him. He looks around.] Kiara? Kiara?
Timon:Pumbaa! Let me define... [Timon gestures angrily.] "babysitting"!
Pumbaa:[Something moves beneath Pumbaa. He jumps away.] Oh!
Kiara:[Kiara emerges from underwater, flailing.] *splutters*
Pumbaa:[bashfully] Sorry. [Kiara and Pumbaa walk out of the water onto dry land.] Now, Princess Kiara, as Simba's daughter, you know better than to go off all alone. [Kiara shakes the water out of her fur.] You could've been hurt!
Kiara: But... but...
Timon:Hurt! [Timon hops off the rock.] Oh... [Timon jumps onto Kiara's back.] Simba would kill us. [Timon strokes Kiara's sides.] You didn't slip a disc, did ya?
Kiara:But... But...
Timon:[Timon crawls onto Kiara's head.] Catch a fever? [Timon hops off Kiara and lifts one of her paws.] Get a hangnail?
Kiara:[Kiara yanks her paw out of Timon's grasp.] Ugh! Timon...
Timon:[Timon points to himself.] I had one once.
Pumbaa:Very painful. [Kiara looks back at Pumbaa.]
Timon:[from offscreen] Excruciating. [Timon bends a fern to shade Kiara's head.] Darling, with your complexion, you should stay out of the sun. [Kiara swats the fern away.] What? Do you wanna wrinkle?
Kiara:Will somebody please just listen to me?
Timon: Timon turns to face Kiara.] I'm sorry; I wasn't listening. Did you say something, Princess?
Kiara: I am not just a princess, you know. That's only half of who I am!
Daniel Tiger:Oh. Uh, who's the other half?
Kiara: Uh... well, I, uh... um...
Timon:Well, while you're figuring it out, [Timon marches past Kiara.] let's eat! [Timon walks to a log. He snaps his fingers, and Pumbaa lifts it with his snout. Timon hefts a leaf full of grubs into the air.] Grubs!
Pumbaa:[Pumbaa drops the log.] The other white meat!
Timon:And so high in protein! [Timon lifts the platter of bugs toward Kiara.]
Kiara:[Kiara recoils.] Ewww! Gross!
Timon:No? [Timon turns and offers the platter to Pumbaa.] How 'bout you, big boy?
Pumbaa:[Pumbaa sniffs the grubs, lifting one into the air with his inhale.] Ah... Love grubs!
Timon: Not like...
Timon and Pumbaa: Love!
Pumbaa:[Pumbaa eats a grub off the platter. His face takes on a look of panic.] *splutters* [Pumbaa spits the grub back onto the leaf.]
Timon:Oh... You always do that! You take a bite out of every one and then put it back. It drives me crazy!
Pumbaa: But you can't tell from the outside which are the real slimy ones!
Timon: Slimy? Pumbaa... my corpulent compadre.[Timon lifts a grub and squeezes it.]  It's the crunchy ones that make the meal! [Kiara rolls her eyes.]
Pumbaa:[Timon eats the grub.] Slimy!
Timon:Crunchy!
Pumbaa:Slimy!
Timon:Crunchy!
Pumbaa:Slimy!
Timon:Crunchy!
Pumbaa:[Kiara smiles.] Slimy!
Timon:Crunchy!
Pumbaa:[Kiara slinks off.] Slimy!
Timon:Crunchy!
Pumbaa:Slimy!
Timon:Crunchy!
Pumbaa:Less filling!
Timon:Tastes good!
Pumbaa:Less filling!
Timon:Tastes good!
Pumbaa:Less filling!
Timon:Tastes good!
Daniel Tiger: Would you both stop fighting please?
Pumbaa:Kiara smirks over her shoulder at Timon,Daniel Tigerand Pumbaa.] Less filling!
Timon:Tastes good!
Pumbaa:Low fat!
Daniel Tiger:Oh boy.
Kiara:[Kiara bounds across the savanna. She veers away from a line of pawprints to enter the Outlands. She clambers down some rocks.] *giggles* [Kiara starts to cross a log, under which there is a swampy river.] *giggles* [Kiara slips off the end of the log and rolls to the ground.] *grunts*
Kovu:[Kiara bumps into Kovu, knocking them both over.] Oof! [Kovu jumps to his paws and glares at Kiara.] *growls*
Kiara:[Kiara stands and backs away fearfully.] *gasps*

Kovu:[Kovu advances on Kiara.] Who are you, Pride Lander? *growls*

Kiara:[Kiara continues to back away.] *pants* [Kiara attempts to dodge around Kovu without turning her back on him.]

Kovu:[Kovu blocks Kiara's path again and again.] *growls* [Kovu tilts his head questioningly.] What are you doing?
Kiara:[angrily] My father says to never turn your back on an Outsider!

Kovu:[mockingly] You always do what Daddy says?

Kiara:No!
Kovu: Bet you do. Bet you're Daddy's little girl! Ha ha! {he moves away, hopping on logs across the river} An Outsider doesn't need anyone. I take care of myself!
Kiara: {awed, following him across} Really? Cool!
{Kovu looks back at Kiara, and notices a huge crocodile rising up behind her with its mouth gaping}
Kovu: Wuhh... waaaahh!
Kiara: {turns and sees the crocodile} Aaaaahhh! Run! {The crocodile's teeth crunch just behind them} This way!
{They narrowly escape, leaping from rock to rock across the river and out of the reach of the crocodiles' jaws as more and more rise up out of the water. They rest on two unmoving "stones" further down, and begin to pant and giggle.}
Kovu: That was a close one.
Kiara: Yeah...
{The stones they are sitting on rise up and reveal themselves as more crocodile heads.}
Kovu and Kiara: Whooaaahhh...
{Kiara runs up a tree limb, getting out of reach; however, Kovu runs past her, leaping from crocodile to crocodile down the river.}
Kiara: Hey.. what about me?
Kovu: I'll distract them. Run!
{Kovu slips off the last crocodile into the water; as he comes up, gasping for air, the crocodiles loom over him.}
Kiara: {swiping at crocodiles from her branch} Look out!
{Kovu is paralyzed by fright; the gaping mouth in front of him is suddenly clamped shut by Kiara leaping on top of it.}
Kiara: Move it!
{The two cubs scramble up a branch and up onto the bank, out of reach of danger. From the top, they pant and rest for a few moments, then move back to look over the edge. The crocodiles are massing below, furious at being cheated of their meal.}
Kiara: I did it... I did it! {she "thhppbbts" the crocodiles below}
Kovu: Hah!
{The cubs move back from the edge and recount their adventure.}
Kiara: Whoah, man-- did you see the size of those teeth? They were goin' "Rrrarrarrarr" .... {rolls over on her back and laughs} He was just totally eatin' you up right there, and I jumped on his head-- and I bopped him so good--
{The camera moves back so that we can see from next to Zira, crouching in the grass some distance away.}
Kiara: We make such a good team! And you... you were really brave!
Kovu: Yeah... you were pretty brave too. My name's Kovu.
Kiara: I'm Kiara.
{She crouches down playfully, waving her tail; she reaches out and bats him} Kiara: Tag! You're it!
{She jumps back, laughing; instead of chasing, Kovu just looks at her silently. She tries again.}
Kiara: Tag! You're it! You're it!
{Still no response; he just stares at her.}
Kiara: Hello? You run, I tag... get it? What's the matter? Don't you know how to play?
{Getting an idea, she crouches down and goes back to playing his style, with bared teeth and growls. He gets the idea and mock-growls back, but suddenly he finds himself growling at Simba's leg. Simba roars, and Zira jumps out of the grass and roars back. She ducks her head lower than Simba that she nearly touches the grass.}
Simba: Zira.
Zira: Simba!
{Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa arrive behind Simba, with other lionesses.}
Daniel Tiger: Hey guys what going on and Who is that?
Zira: Nala.
Nala: Zira.
Timon:Timon gestures to himself.] Timon. [Timon gestures to Pumbaa.] Pumbaa. Great. Now that we all know each other... [Timon jerks a thumb over his shoulder.] Get outta our Pride Lands!

Zira:[furiously] Your Pride Lands?! *roars*
Timon:*whimpers* [Timon hides in Pumbaa's mane and peers out fearfully.]

Zira:[to Simba] These lands belong to Scar.
Daniel Tiger: How She Knows Scar?
Simba:I banished you from the Pride Lands. [Simba strides toward Zira.] Now, you and your young cub, [Simba comes nose-to-nose with Zira.] get out! [Kovu and Kiara recoil in horror.]
Daniel Tiger{confused) Banished?
Zira:Oh, [Zira prowls around Kovu.] haven't you met my son, Kovu? He was hand-chosen by Scar to follow in his paw prints and become... [Zira steps in front of Kovu.] king!

Simba:[Simba glares at Kovu.] *growls*

Kovu:
[Kovu trembles in fear.] *whimpers*

Timon:Pbbbt! [Timon gestures to Kovu.] That's not a king! That's a fuzzy maraca!
Zira:Kovu was the last born before you exiled us to the Outlands, where we have [Zira strides past Simba, head drooped.] little food...less water...
Simba: You know the penalty for returning to the Pride Lands!
Zira: [Zira pauses.] But the child does not! However...[Zira circles behind Kovu.]  if you need your pound of flesh... here.Zira pushes Kovu toward Simba with her snout.]

Kovu:
[Kovu stares up at Simba, quivering.] *whimpers* [Simba looks at Zira, who grins deviously.]

Simba:
Take him and get out. [Simba turns toward Kiara.] We're finished here.
Kiara:
[Simba lifts Kiara by her scruff.] *grunts*

Zira:Oh, no, Simba. [Simba looks back at Zira, who strides toward him.] We have barely begun. [Zira grins down at Kiara.] *chuckles* [Kiara looks up at Zira fearfully.]

Kovu:[Zira walks back toward Kovu and picks him up by his middle.] *grunts* [Zira carries Kovu away.]

Kiara:[Simba carries Kiara back toward the Pride Lands.] Bye.

Kovu:[Zira carries Kovu back toward the Outlands.] Bye.
[Everyone left except for Daniel Tiger who confused at this moment]
Daniel Tiger: How She Knows Simba,and Scar and How Simba Banished Her and Outsiders in First place? I got to talk to Rafiki.
(Later Daniel Tiger  Went to Rafiki's tree with his friends O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Prince Wednesday,Miss Elaina,and their new friends Jodi Platypus)
Daniel Tiger:Rafiki!
Rafiki:What it Daniel Tiger
Daniel Tiger: Well tell you-s
[Prince Wednesday interrupt Daniel Tiger)
Prince Wednesday: Yeah our friends Daniel Tiger told us that he meets Outsider early then he told us that  Simba banished them from the Pride Lands that was a joke.
Daniel Tiger:Prince Wednesday i'm not tell joke Simba did banished them from the Pride Lands
Miss Elaina: Okay Daniel Tiger Who the Outsiders and why do you keep saying that Simba banished them from the Pride Lands?
Rafiki: I glad you ask Miss Elaina The Outsiders are a group of lions led by a lioness named Zira. Simba banished them from the Pride Lands before your new friend moved have.
Prince Wednesday: Wow I so sorry Daniel Tiger i  thought you tell us a joke.
Daniel Tiger: That Okay Prince Wednesday i accept your apology.
O The Owl: Who Zira?
Daniel Tiger: She That Outsider i met early.
O The Owl:Oh i see.
Daniel Tiger:Rafiki Why would Simba banish them in first place?
Rafiki:Because Zira and her family, they were loyal only to Scar.
All:Scar?
Jodi Platypus:Who Scar?
Daniel Tiger: he that evil lion who betrayed Mufasa Joni.
Rafiki:After Scar was gone, Simba became King. But Zira told Simba he could not rule the Pride Lands. Because Scar had chosen her son Kovu to be king.
Katerina Kittycat:But Scar was never the real King when he killed Mufasa.
Rafiki:Correct,Katerina Kittycat And that is what Simba told Zira. But Zira would not listen to reason. Instead, she attacked Simba! Of course, Simba won quickly. But after that, he had no choice. He had to banish Zira and her family from the Pride Lands. Forever!
Daniel Tiger: So that's how Simba banished them from the Pride Lands.
O The Owl: So what now Daniel Tiger?
Daniel Tiger: Well I think we sure go home it gets  dark.
(Daniel Tiger and his friends leave Rafiki's tree.)
