-Your POV-
What in the world was that? The loud crash in the kitchen startled us all, making some of the maids jump and widen their eyes. Khun immediately stood up as he made his way to the kitchen. I quickly followed suit, ignoring my uterus' pained pleads to sit back down.
There she was, the maid Khun rudely snapped at before. She was scrambling around nervously, picking up shards of the glass vase she just broke. She yelped and nearly fell once she saw the two of us standing in the doorway. I couldn't see Khun's facial expression since I was standing behind him, but his gruff sigh gave away his angry demeanor.
"How could you let this happen?" He asked, rather calmer than I'd expected.
"A- ah, s- sorry Sir, I w- was just-" the poor woman, probably in her early 20s, fiddled with the hem of her dress as she trembled when she spoke. Khun impatiently tapped his foot and folded his arms.
"Well? What are you sputtering for?!" He yelled. I winced while the maid flinched in fear at the tone of the young boy.
"Khun," I softly said, making my way in front of him, "why are you yelling at her? Can't you see that she's already terrified?" I gently put my hands on his shoulders. "The poor girl broke the vase on accident- probably because she was so afraid of you. You did yell at her before disaster struck," I reasoned with him. He sighed, looking down at the floor. Maybe out of guilt? I'd hope so.
I looked back at the maid, she was trembling less, so that's a good sign, right? The other maids around were either whispering amongst themselves or simply staring at her in pity.
"What's your name, miss?" I asked politely.
"O- oh... it's F- Fumiko," she responded quietly, "Ito Fumiko."
"Ah, I see... that's a nice name! It suits you," I grinned at her, she gave a small smile back and thanked me. Khun cleared his throat.
"Alright, Ito, get back to sweeping this mess up," he said in a calmer manner.
"Y- yes sir!" She responded, saying it louder with the tiny bit of confidence she had. I'm so proud! But first...
"Don't you have something to say, Khun Ahuero Agnes?" I retorted, crossing my arms. The boy in question flinched when I said his full name. I tried not to smile as I held my stern expression.
"Excuse me?"
"EH! WRONG ANSWER! Two more tries!" I held up two fingers. He stared back at me, dumbfounded.
"What-?"
"EH! WRONG AGAIN!" I put down my middle finger, "one last try, biatch!" He scoffed.
"Can I get a hint at least? What am I even supposed to say?" He exasperated, tired of my BS.
"It'sAWordThatStartsWithAn'S'!" I smirked.
"Sorry, what?" He sighed. My eyes turned into dots as I gazed at him- my grin faltering.
"Th- that's it, that's the word," I said.
"Huh- sorry?" I happily clapped my hands.
"Yeah!" I giggled like a child would. The maids around either smiled at me, ignored me or judged me. "Apologize to Kufimo!"
"Fumiko-"
"That's what I meant!" I smiled confidently and folded my arms even though I mentally cursed myself for screwing up her name after saying it's nice. Smh, (Y/N). Smh.
