It had been 3 days since our date, though we were unsure whether to call it that or not. The day of the race was tomorrow, and i wasn't sure how i was meant to feel, on one hand i obviously wanted to win, but on the other i didn't want to do it at Dean's expense anymore. We agreed to meet before the race, but apart from that we didn't text much, i think Dean was still struggling with what happened in that bathroom, i mean, we nearly...
It was race day. I had had my usual 'good luck' ring with Gabriel, who was still on holiday in Bahrain, though he said he'd come and meet me for the next race, and it was time to see Dean. He was waiting for me where we'd agreed and though it was tucked away, it wasn't hidden. He smiled as casually as he could when i approached. I found it hard to smile back, the stress of the race was getting to me.
"Hey..." He waved briefly with two fingers. I reached him and brushed my hand along his arm subtly before leaning against the opposite wall. "Look, i just wanted to talk about... well after what happened.... Look, racing is my life, i can't throw the race, and i wouldn't want you to either. We're grown up, we can do this... Right?"
"Yes Dean." I checked no one was coming before kissing his cheek gently and moving away again. "We can do this, whatever it is. We focus on the race while we're in it, aim for a win and nothing less, then when it's over we forget about it. We can't hold grudges."
"Agreed" Dean and i shook hands, an odd formality, and all i could think about was where his hands had been a few days earlier, in fact the thought of it rose Goosebumps along my arms. Dean must have noticed, because he grinned smugly and blew me a kiss as he left.Strangely enough, once i was in my car, all sense of loyalty to my new 'friend' flew out of the window, and the only thing in my head was you have to win this.
I slammed my hands into the steering wheel as i crossed the finishing line, watching Dean's car vanish into the distance. I mean, 5th place still wasn't bad, but i was gutted. This time was different though... When i walked past the podium and saw Dean smiling up there, i wasn't angry, wasn't jealous, i was proud. I beamed up at him from the crowd, and he nodded my way with a goofy grin.
Afterwards, i met him at my car and bombarded him with congratulations. He shut me up fast, leaning across the seats to kiss me, his hands on my thighs, supporting his weight as he pressed as close as he could. I was breathless. I kissed back as best i could from the strange angle i was sat at, cupping his face to draw him closer. He was practically on top of me at this point, and i realised this probably wasn't the place... Again. This time however, i didn't care. I figured everybody would be busy for at least another hour, no-one would be coming to the parking lot any time soon, and i could see the same thought running through Dean's head.
I pushed him back into his seat with some force, locking the door and locking our lips again, my body leaning over his this time. He melted against me, our tongues dancing for a moment before i drew back and turned the radio on- some sort of ballad with romantic undertones and a solid drum beat- i stared at Dean for a moment, debating whether to take the chance or not, and then made up my mind.
I probably should have warned him, the look on his face when my hand ran up his thigh was hilarious, but he didn't protest. My hands found his belt and i searched for the consent in his eyes, he took a steady breath and nodded. It took me a moment to get his zipper undone, when i did i realised the extent to which our making out had flustered him. When i leant across the seats again, my head lowering to his stomach to press hot kisses there, Dean sucked in a breath and grappled for places to put his hands. My kisses lowered slowly, giving Dean time to adjust, or change his mind, but i finally reached his erection and took him in my mouth. As my tongue swirled, Dean's hands found purchase in my hair, tugging lightly with the movements of my head. He arched and moaned, his pleasure drowned out by the music. His knuckles went white where they clung to the dashboard, and i knew he was close, he spurred me on with hip jerks and groans that would stay in my memories for weeks.
When he finished, he collapsed, spent and blissful. I wiped my mouth and leant back in my seat, trying to regain my breath. He turned to me with dopey eyes and smiled.
"Woah" He sighed, zipping up his jeans and buckling his belt. It was my turn to smile smugly. Dean leant over and kissed me drowsily, i could feel him smiling and it made me smile too.
"That was your congratulations." I joked, but he became suddenly very serious.
"I'll be ready for your next win then"
I blushed profusely, and he kissed me quickly, slipping out of the car. His hand lingered in mine for a moment and then he was gone. I watched him go and then realised he'd put something in my palm i unfurled my fist and found is Hotel room key there.
