I arrived at the ballroom late around 9:30 pm with Josh and Rudy. I was dressed in a very fancy black suit. As we walked through the doors, Rudy said,
"See you guys later." and quickly ran to his "girlfriend".
I glanced over to Josh to see him wearing a white fancy suit like mine. I glanced him up and down. I noticed him blush.
"Shall we dance." I said in a joking manner.
"We shall," Josh said as he let out a laugh.
We walked to the dance floor together. We started to dance together as "Carnival of the Animals: XIII The Swan" started to play. We waltz across the floor as the song plays on. I couldn't but help gaze into his beautiful hazel eyes. I felt a blush run across my face. I quickly buried my face into his chest so he wouldn't see. The song finally ended. I let go of Josh and said,
"That was a great dance." I laughed and gave him a funny wink.
"It sure was." he laughed with me.
Suddenly silence went around. Out of the blue Josh says,
"Come with me. I want to show you something."
I followed him up the ballroom stairs. It felt like forever until we hit the last flight of stairs up. He opened some doors to a beautiful balcony. You could see everything as far as the eye saw. Josh walked to the balcony and looked up.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Josh asked.
"Definitely but it looks like a storm is coming." I replied.
"yeah.."
More silence surrounded us. Finally he looked back down at me.
"I also wanted to tell you something, Levi."
"Sure. What's up?"
His face grew completely red.
"I'm in love with you."
I looked at him with a blank stare. He is in love with me?
