Alexia, Hannah and Jax were at school, bunking off, as usual. They had their least favourite lesson, engineering, so they decided to meet outside the toilets and go for a smoke. Alexia was the first one there, she was the one who had kept all of the filters, tobacco and papers with her. Her parents were never really around, so she didn't have to hide them. She waited for Hannah and Jax to arrive. Alexia stood awkwardly waiting for them, hiding round the corner every time she heard some footsteps. "AJ!!!" She heard from the corner. The loudness startled her. Her face instantly flushed. "Fuck H! You fucking scared me. I thought you were a teacher." It was loud mouth Hannah, of course. "Oops! Sorry AJ, my bad haha!" She giggled as Alexia's face started to go back to its normal colour. Moments later, Jax waltzed into the bathroom, brushing his wavy hair off of his face. "Hey guys, what'd I miss?" He asked, with a sort of annoyed tone. "Nothing much J, what's wrong?" Alexia asked, with a worried tone. "Nothing, just my mum being a dick again, as usual. I'll be okay" he said as his face sank. He was clearly thinking about what had happened last night. Hannah noticed a bruise on the side of his arm. "What the fuck J, is she beating you again? Hannah asked with a suddenly angry tone. "Yeah but it's nothing to worry about H, now hurry up and pass me that cigarette AJ." Alexia quickly rolled a cigarette and passed it to Jax. He put the cigarette to his lips, and it looked like a weight was lifted off his shoulders. Hannah rolled one herself, and as she put it to her lips, she coughed. Alexia and Jax were quietly giggling to themselves. "What?? What did I do?!" Hannah asked, confused. "Nothing, nothing it's fine." Jax blurted, in between giggles. "Hey guys, why don't we just go home and travel? Escape from the world for a bit. We all need it, if I'm being honest. My parents are away and they left their car. We can go on a proper road trip." Alexia suggested. Hannah and Jax seemed to like that idea, smiles spread across their face instantly, and they picked up their bags and ran off to the main doors. "Come on AJ what are you waiting for?!?" They shouted from down the hall. Alexia picked up her bag, and ran towards them. They burst through the doors, like it was the end of some teen high school movie. Jax went to get his skateboard, and Hannah got on her motorcycle. "We'll see you at yours AJ, yeah?" They arranged. Alexia sprinted home to get changed, and she packed a bag for a few days. About an hour later, Hannah and Jax knocked on Alexia's front door. She threw her shoes on, and opened the door. "You ready bitches?" She said, running to her parents convertible. All three of the teens ran and hopped into the car, throwing their bags in the back seats. Alexia and Jax in the front, Hannah in the back. Alexia had barely passed her driving test, so as she pulled out of her driveway, you could see everyone's faces clench. "Hey, I'm not that bad!" She exclaimed, half joking, half offended. She whizzed down the street and onto the motorway. "So, where to first?" Jax asked, excitedly. "You'll find out sooner or later!" Alexia blurted. Hannah was connected to the aux, so she was in charge of music. "Cupid's Chokehold" was the first song to play. The motorway was silent, and then suddenly the sound of excited, young adults singing their hearts out filled the air. "TAKE A LOOK AT MY GIRLFRIEND, SHES THE ONLY ONE I GOT" they all sang in harmony. They were driving for what seemed like days, although is had to have only been about 3 hours. The music, their laughter, and the roaring of the engine filled the motorway. It was empty, there was barely any cars out, so it was the perfect time for a road trip. A few hours later, Hannah's phone pinged. "For fuck sakes, why the fuck have I got a snap from two faced Tiana?" Hannah huffed, completely changing the mood. "What the fuck??" Jax said, confused. It was a photo of Tiana, the popular bitch in their school, doing the duck face pout, with the caption "where the fuck are you? You think you can bunk off school and I won't tell anyone? Well the principle knows, and I'm sure your parents do too." Hannah showed Jax, and he instantly reacted, mocking her pout and started quacking like a duck. Laughter broke out again and instantly the mood was back to before. Except for Alexia, who was deep in her thoughts. "Ever wondered how much easier life would be if the popular bitches were dead?" She blurted out. Hannah and Jax looked at her, startled. "Uhm.. you okay AJ?" They both asked. Alexia looked at them, realised what she had just said and turned slightly red. She just smiled and turned the music up, ignoring the question. Everyone started singing again, although the thought still hadn't slipped from Alexia's mind. All she could think about was how much better and easier life would be. She had been having a couple of weird dreams lately, about people around her disappearing. They weren't people that were close with her, just people that she knew. This was the only secret she hadn't told Hannah or Jax. She had gotten really into watching murder documentaries lately too, and she enjoys studying the topic. Alexia was deep in her troubled thoughts, when she started to actually see what she was thinking about. It was playing out like a scenario in her head. Her standing in the middle of their street, with a knife in hand, blood dripping onto her baggy T-shirt and jeans, with the body of Tiana Wilkins in her arms. She was crying, and alone. Hannah began to sing really loud, which startled Alexia back to reality. "Oh my god Hannah stop fucking scaring me" she said, annoyed. Hannah just looked at her, confused. Jax and Hannah exchanged a look which said "I don't know either, don't ask". Jax was leaning over Alexia's seat, attempting to grab the bottles of mini vodka out of the door of the car. "Jax move what the fuck" Alexia shouted. Without warning, she slammed the breaks on the car. Hannah flew back, Jax hit his head on the glove compartment. "AJ what the fuck you cant stop in the middle of the motorway!" Hannah screamed. Alexia didn't understand what was happening, she must've blacked out for a split second. She apologised, and continued to accelerate.
