It's funny how these little boxes are adored by many. People buy them to attempt to keep their greatest memories in a physical form. Looking at the photo produced by the box would bring back emotions from the day they took the photo and give them something to talk about when someone asks, "Where is this?" Sharing with another person always allowed you to relive your happy times.
However, not all little boxes are to capture joyful times. Some are used for work or other reasons.
Well imagine this for a moment. A group of friends going for a hike decide to take a photo to remember their journey. They quickly snapped a photo and turned the box over to look at it closely. They find the photo appealing and decide to keep it. They continue walking further till they reached a waterfall. They found an area to sit and suddenly a friend asks to see all the photos they've taken so far. The person holding the box gives it to their friend. Scrolling through the pictures, the friend stops at one in particular, the one they took in the beginning.
Before the friend has the opportunity to talk, something is heard nearby. Following the sound, the friends leave all of their belongings along with the little box.
Later, more people arrive to find their belongings. These new people decided to get yellow tape and wrap it around trees to surround the area. One person in particular grabs a pair of gloves and picks up the little box. Scrolling quickly through the images, one caught their eyes. It was the photo from the beginning of the other people's trip. Calling a new person in a blue uniform over, they point out something that no one had seen before.
Behind the friends stood a distorted hooded figure. Unable to capture their face, the person in a blue uniform called a specialist to look closer at it.
Still, nothing.
Gathering the belongings of the other group, the person in a blue uniform drives off in black and white car.
