"roses are red
violets are blue
sugar is sweet
and so are you"

it was the biggest cliche in the book. writing a poem was cliche enough, but this wasn't even an original one, just a dumb little saying that eight-year-olds would say on the playground.

yet this short handwritten note was enough to leave hannah smiling for the rest of the day. it was signed "love, eva" with handwriting that was distinctly hers, but instead of the rushed smudges hannah was used to seeing in class, this clearly had thought, love and effort put into it.

hannah closed her locker door, putting the note into the chest pocket of her blazer, where she could be sure it wouldn't fall out.

this is only 120 words long but i wanted to publish something so have this and tell me what you think because i need validation
