Ciel slowly opened his eyes, disoriented by the suffocating darkness. As his senses returned, he realized his hands were bound to a chair, the sharp, cold metal digging into his wrists. Panic surged briefly, but he steadied his breath. They've taken me.
"Come out," he commanded, his voice rough but steady, betraying none of his inner fear. "I know you're there."
A cold, familiar voice responded from the shadows, dripping with a twisted satisfaction. "So you finally remembered."
The lights flickered on, blinding him momentarily before his eyes adjusted. Standing before him was Jonathan, his butler—the very man who had always been by his side, yet now the face of his torment.
Ciel's chest tightened. "I won't let you hurt him," Cayden spat, fury boiling over. His body jerked forward, struggling against the ropes that held him in place, his knuckles white from the effort.
Jonathan looked at him with amusement, a sinister smile curling on his lips. "Seems like you're awake now," he said, almost mockingly, as though savoring Ciel's discomfort.
Cayden growled, his body thrashing with all his might, desperate to break free, his muscles straining. He wanted nothing more than to strangle Jonathan with his bare hands. "Let him go, you bastard!"
Jonathan chuckled darkly. "Calm down, boy. Those ropes aren't going anywhere." He looked at Cayden with cold contempt, the faintest glint of amusement in his eyes.
"Shut up!" Cayden barked, still writhing in his restraints.
Jonathan's smile deepened, but his eyes became calculating. "Well, well. You've gotten feisty over the years. Looks like I'll have to retrain you from the ground up." His voice was a twisted lullaby as he circled Ciel, relishing the fear in the air.
Cayden's breath came in ragged gasps, each failed attempt at freedom fueling his rage. "I won't let you hurt him," he shouted again, his voice raw with emotion.
Jonathan paused, his eyes flicking toward Cayden. With a cold, deliberate movement, he picked up a long rod from the nearby table and swung it across Ciel's face, the sharp sting making Ciel's head snap to the side. Cayden let out a guttural groan, struggling even more violently, his face contorting with helpless rage.
"You see," Jonathan said, a mock sadness in his voice, "if you were just a good boy, I wouldn't have to hurt you like this." He reached out a hand, caressing Ciel's cheek. "But, you've been so difficult, haven't you?" His touch was repulsive.
Cayden's eyes widened with fury. "Don't touch him, you fucking freak!" he snarled, every inch of his body fighting against the ropes. In a burst of defiance, he bit down on Jonathan's hand, his teeth sinking in hard.
Jonathan recoiled, his face twisted in annoyance. He pulled back, wiping his hand on a nearby cloth. "You never learn, do you?" he muttered, before slapping Ciel across the face again, his movements swift and cold, devoid of any sympathy. "You just keep pushing me, Ciel."
