Chapter 2: Faithful encounter in Kyoshi Island

It has been days since the two left the island and since then no words were spoken from the two of them, as Astrid was just focused on trying to bend water, Hiccup was reading the map to see if they are going on the right path. "Is this the..are we going here or here?" Hiccup was muttering to himself, as the hour goes by Astrid boringly leans on the edge of the boat, playing with the water, as she desperately looks for something new, Hiccup on the other hand just rows the boat and just stares at Astrid, he reminds himself of what his Father has told him, "You know her better than anyone in the village." Stoick voice spoke.

"Know her better than anyone, does he know?" Hiccup thought staring at Astrid's braided hair.

Astrid makes a huge sigh seeing only the vast ocean beside her, no land and nothing to eat but fish that they have caught, she took a quick glimpse at Hiccup who was now just reading the map to see if they were going on the right path then averted her attention back to the ocean, there she sees a giant dark-colored dorsal fin emerging from their front, She alerted Hiccup by calling his name, wherein response he looks at Astrid wide eyes reaction.

"What?" He half-heartedly asks.

She points at the submerging dorsal fin and her eyebrows raise, signaling him to stir clear, Hiccup quickly takes the paddle and rows frantically, but the boat was raised from the water, and a giant serpent with its giant green eyes stares at the two travelers, it quickly growls at them and opens its mouth showing its sharp teeth, sensing danger Astrid quickly pushes Hiccup down and a stream of waters fires from the creature's mouth hitting the boat, both were rendered unconscious due to water stream.

Suddenly, an obscure voice calls out to Astrid prompting her to wake up, she opens her eyes and sees that she on the sand with a hooded man using a staff poking her face, annoyed she slapped the staff off her face and tries to stand, she felt pain from her chest and made her fall back to the sand.

"You shouldn't move, the Unagi hurt you badly." The hooded man advice.

Astrid sighs and looks from left and right to look for Hiccup, "Where's Hiccup?" She asks.

"You mean the scrawny-looking guy, he's been captured by the Kyoshi warriors."

"Captured?"

"Yeah, they probably took him after I brought him from the wreckage."

"Wreckage, right the creature, where is it?"

The hooded man points his staff to the ocean and saw the Unagi was there frozen, Astrid was astonished, "You're a Water Bender?"

The hooded man nods and stands to offer his help to Astrid, "If you want to see your friend then it would be best to get to Kyoshi village now.

Astrid took his hand and stood up and slowly walks towards the village, meanwhile, at the village of Kyoshi, Hiccup regains conscience and sees a group of women wearing adorned metal headdresses and heavily armored green kimonos, and has some face paint on, similar to an Avatar, Kyoshi.

Hiccup sits up and one of the warriors notices him and helps him by leaning him on a wall, he thanks her and asks, "Where am I?"

"You're in Kyoshi's Island, the Unagi attacked you before you got to our shore."

"Unagi? Astrid, where's Astrid?!"

The warriors gave each other a confused look, "We did not see anyone else reach the shore but you."

"Then she must still be out there, I gotta go get her."

As he was trying to stand pain suddenly was felt from his body and brought him back to the ground, the warriors laid his face front and carried him to a futon and let him rest there, another warrior enters the room, similar to the others, however, she wears a normal green headband, she approaches Hiccup and the other warriors asking what the status was.
