Chapter 12

Narrator POV

Shirley Simmons is one friendly likable lady which is how she met Cole Howard. In the 80s they met at a bar, Shirley was young and single. Cole was handsome, single, and dangerous. He was a military man that eventually left the military but that's a story for another time.
Anyway, Shirley and Cole had a whirlwind affair. He took her around the world and made love in every country, bought her the finest things, and loved the hell out of her. However, Shirley got over that fast life and wanted to settle down. Cole wasn't the type to be someone's husband so they parted ways but stayed in touch. Shirley then met Howard a bus driver who she married and then they got pregnant with Keisha.

Flash forward

Cole hears that Keisha died so he reaches out to Shirley. Shirley vents to him about Keisha and her grandbaby. She blames Sincere for Keisha's death even though it was Keisha's fault for socializing with a crazy blue-eyed dude named Damon. However, Shirley doesn't see it like that. Keisha just wanted the good life and didn't want to settle for average like her mom. She wanted designer bags and excitement. Then she wanted her and Heaven to be spoiled. Her smart little Babygirl. Shirley doesn't think that her daughter was asking for too much she just went at it the wrong way. Shirley feels guilty that she didn't persuade Keisha to leave Sincere. She thought that Sincere was like her husband and he can be the suitability that Keisha needed. But she was wrong so she is going to fix that now by giving Heaven,the life she deserves.

Sincere POV

I'm out of the hospital and in the car with Alena. She has been giving me kind of the silent treatment since that FBI nigga came along.
*Flashback
I'm in my hospital room looking at the wall when a light skin pretty boy in a suit comes into my room.

"Mr. Monroe, I'm FBI agent Williams and I will be investigating the kidnapping of my daughter.

I look surprised because the FBI doesn't care about little black girls

"I heard about this case from Alena's brother, Jeff.

I don't like how he said my Alena name.

"How do they know you? My Alena is a good girl but she would never date a pig

"You haven't talked in weeks, the staff has told me and that's your question. Do you care about your daughter at all or are you just worried about me being back in Alena's fat pussy.

I see red and hit him.
Yes, I hit an FBI agent and I have no regrets.

Alena told me that's her ex and I guess he is trying to be a hero. If he gets my daughter back then cool but I got a backup plan. I and the guys are going to Cuba. Im going to find Shirley, slap her a couple of times, and take my daughter back home.

And no Alena doesn't know about this plan. The guys are going to pick me up and we going to head to the airport.

"It's time for you to be discharged sir.* the nurse

"Okay, I'm ready.

Alena POV

I get to the hospital and Sincere isn't in his room.

"Excuse me, what happened to the patient in 203?*Alena

"He was discharged.

"What? Thanks, Miss.*Alena

I leave the hospital in confusion maybe he went home.
I drive to his house and walked in.

"Hello. Sincere?*Alena

Silence

I wonder where he could be.
I end up cooking, showering, and going to bed, and still no Sincere.

*Three days Later

I'm still at Sincere house, it's the morning and I'm eating a bagel and watching the news.

"A previous story of little Heaven Monroe being kidnapped by her grandmother has breaking news. The FBI made an announcement that they rescued her last night in Cuba. She has already been reunited with her father. No word if the grandmother Shirley has been arrested.

"Thank god she is okay and of course Sincere went to Cuba to find her.

My phone rings and it's Sincere

"Hey, baby.

"Sincere Xavier Monroe! *Alena

"So you are mad. I would say I care but eh. We were on the plane on our way home. *Sincere

"I'm glad Heaven and your rude ass are safe. *Alena

"You know when it comes to my baby girl, I will do anything for her. *Alena

"I know and I understand. I love you.

"I love you too. Your parents and I can't wait to see you.  How is Heaven doing?*Alena

"She is good not traumatized at all. *Sincere

"Okay, that's good. What time are you landing?*Alena

"We should be in NYC at 5 pm. We have a lot to talk about. *Sincere

"Okay. *Alena

Avery POV

"We need to thoroughly investigate and then see if we can press charges on Sincere Monroe for the murder of Shirley Simmons.

"Okay Chief.

Soon Sincere will be in prison and I will be back with Alena. He should've never come to Cuba.
