Chapter 1: Wake Up Call

-Katelynn's POV-

I didn't hear what you were saying

I live on raw emotion, baby

I answer questions, never maybe

And I'm not kind if you betray me

So who the hell are you to say 'we'?

I never would've made it, baby

If you needed love, well, then ask for love

Could've given love, now I'm taking love

And it's not my fault 'cause you bo-

My phone was blaring my favorite song by Maroon 5, Wake Up Call. I had set it as my alarm the night before.

I pulled the covers off of me, ready to start a new day. A new life.

Today was my first day at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School. My parents moved me from London over winter break, so I was going to be the new kid.

I finished the rest of the morning getting ready for the day. When I was satisfied with how I looked, I ran down the stairs and out the door. I was only a few blocks from my new school, so I decided to walk.

Before I knew it I was at the school, standing at the bottom of the steps. I slowly walked up to them and opened the door.

I walked to the office and smiled at the secretary. She looked up at me, "Oh you must be Katelynn Phillips. Would you like your schedule?"

I nodded.

She handed me my schedule and looked to her right at probably the most attractive guy I have ever seen in my entire life- he had dark brown curly hair that flopped over his forehead. Emerald green eyes that made my heart melt. And a smile that could win any girl over in a second- "This is my son, Harry. I looked at your schedule and you have the same one! So I'm sure he would love to show you around."

I was about to accept when Harry groaned, "Really mum? You always expect me to do things without asking me. Who said I wanted to show her how to get around?"

His rudeness completely changed my opinion of him. He was a real jerk. The secretary, also his mum spoke, "I said you are going to. And you will do as I say because I am your mother. Do you understand Harold?"

He rolled his eyes, "Sure mum, whatever. But I'm only taking her to our first class."

Harry walked around the counter and forced a smile, "Follow me."

I nodded and followed the moody boy into the hall. He looked down at me, obviously towering over me, "Look chick, I don't want you ruining my reputation. You seem nice and all, but you definitely aren't attractive. If I was seen with you, I would go to the bottom of the food chain. So don't talk to me. It is easy to get around here and I bet you can do it. So just do it? And do me a favor, tell me mum I helped you out. Thanks. Buh-bye." And with that, he walked away to some blonde bimbo who's boobs were hanging out of her shirt.

I already knew this year was going to suck, so much for a new life.
