TWENTY-THREE

All of us were not sat in the lab, no one had gotten changed yet as we were all trying to deal with the situation that Tony and Bruce has created.

"All our work is gone." Bruce started, breaking the silence. "Ultron cleared out. He used the internet as an escape hatch."

"Ultron." Steve muttered.

"He's been in everything. File's, surveillance." Nat spoke.

"Probably knows more about us than we know about each other." I joined in, glancing at Clint knowing we are both worried about the same thing.

"He's in your files, he's in the internet. What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?" Rhodey asked.

"Nuclear codes." Maria chimed in.

"Nuclear codes." He confirmed. "Look, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can."

"Nukes? He said he wanted us dead." Nat said.

"He didn't say 'dead'. He said 'extinct'." Steve corrected her.

"He also said he killed somebody." Clint pointed out.

"But there wasn't anyone else in the building." Maria spoke, confused.

"Yes there was." Tony mumbled, bringing up a hologram of a broken JARVIS.

"This is insane." Bruce muttered.

"JARVIS was the first line of defense. He would've shut Ultron down, it makes sense." Steve concluded.

"No, Ultron could've assimilated Jarvis. This isn't strategy, this is...rage." I shook me head.

Thor comes barging into the room and grabs Tony by the neck. Making us all cry out in protest.

"Woah, woah, woah! It's going around." Clint mumbled.

"Stop it!" I warned, discretely taking ahold of a dagger.

"Come on. Use your words, buddy." Tony choked out.

"I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark." Thor growled.

"Thor! The Legionnaire." Steve turned into his Captain voice to speak.

Thor finally put Tony down and the engineer released a grunt, rubbing his neck.

"Trail went cold about a hundred miles out but it's headed north, and it has the scepter. Now we have to retrieve it, again." Thor explained.

"The genie's out of that bottle. Clear and present is Ultron." Nat joined

"I don't understand." Dr. Cho began, making us all turn to her. "You built this program. Why is it trying to kill us?"

Tony began to laugh, making us all angered and look at him in disbelief. Bruce shaking his head at the genius actions, trying to get him to stop.

"You think this is funny?" I growled, fed up with my brother a this point.

"No. It's probably not, right? Is this very terrible?" He just continued to laugh. "Is it so... is it so... it is. It's so terrible."

"This could've been avoided if you hadn't played with something you don't understand." Thor pointed out.

"No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It is funny. It's a hoot that you don't get why we need this." Tony walked over to Thor

"Tony, maybe this might not be the time to-" Bruce began but was cut off by Tony.

"Really?! That's it? You just roll over, show your belly, every time somebody snarls." He asked.
